The same happened with vodafone, they dropped 08 numbers a while ago now, I moved to O2 because of this, I use 0845 numbers to access the internet on my laptop. any other providers give you 08 numbers inclusive? I don't think so

If you have inclusive x-net minutes on any network you can call 0845 numbers (evenings and weekends) by using the www.pre-dial.com 07730 access number click on free destination list for full details.
You can also call 0800/0808 freephone numbers 24/7 out of your inclusive minutes by using dial through gateway numbers 0200 222 0700 or 0900.0 -

I am not doubting his word, but you cant believe everything Customer Service people spiel out,and they still giving out the old tariffs if you ask with ngn 0844/0845/0870/0800 numbers included.
As I said on my original post, the customer service advisor said all customers will be receiving a txt/letter confirming these changes. Thats when we get our proof! He said to call back weekly to find out when its gonna happen - like i'm gonna do that! They know its not going to be a popular move so are probably waiting till peak holiday season, hoping people won't take too much notice! Lol. I also read about this change on a different website so I'm pretty confident this will happen - for everyone!!
By the way this came from O2 direct customer services not O2 CPW.
Just want my confirmation so I can try and cancel my contract! Hehe.0 -
It's a bit confusing isn't it?
when i upgraded my phone last week with o2, i was told that i would be on exactly the same tariff i have been on the last 18months-that is I would have my 0845/0870 numbers included in my monthly allowance. He did not say anything about any changes-maybe he's hiding something- i don't know.
We'll see what happens.Respond to every call that excites your spirit.0 -
Wasn't there a thread not long ago with the op (of the previous thread) saying exactly the same thing and nothing happened?0

why do people get panicked??? they have to give us atleast 30 days notice so plenty of time to cancel contracts if they mess with 08 numbers. that was the main reason i got an o2 phone!0

o2 are NOT officially denying this move is going to be made.0

I have an old O2 CPW, phone them and well nope 0870 are still included. Im going to check about new contracts today but I think no probs with O2 CPW0

O2 sets the pricing structure for all contracts regardless of who they are with. CPW will have no choice but follow suit. As this hasn't been officially announced, staff at O2 CPW probably don't know of these future changes or have been told not to let on! Lol.

Rubbish! cpw didn't stop 08 numbers when O2 did on 27th April.0
