    I've been Money Tipped!
Just thought of a few more...

Thick tights can be cut in slices and make wonderful non-snag elastics for girls hair. (they loose elasicity after a while but believe me you make an awfull lot out of a pair of tights).

Old toothbrushes are wonderful implements to clean behind the taps or hard to reach little spaces.

And no need for a shredder as all bank/tax papers go cut up in the compost bin.

Dishwasher as a cooker: (read about this one and it tickled me! :D I don't have a dishwasher but this may be useful one day for someone here)
To cook a large fish w/out a fish kettle .... Double wrap the fish (salmon or other large fish) in foil and seal thoroughly. PLace it on the upper rack of an empty dishwasher. Run the main wash at 65C (150F) without the pre-wash or dry. Remove and cool in the foil. Cute, eh! :D

    Funnels: Use your piping bag.

Baking Tray: Use your roasting tin upside down.

Mirrors mirror tiles: Use as a plate to serve small cakes or when serving buffet finger foods (attractive and makes it look like twice as much food :D

Now that's a really really good idea, would cure me of my "that looks paltry even if it is only for 4 anorexic people" habit & having leftovers for 3 days, now where can I find some mirrored tiles?

A dear friend of mine claims that, when she was a child, the winter shoes she had grown out of were attacked by her father with a craft knife and converted into open-toed sandals...

Baby bum wipes - these can be used to clean uPVC window frames, and also wipe down the dash and other plastic bits in your car.

Use the little drawstring bags for washing tablets as little safety bags for delicates/tights etc - stops them getting snagged in the works when you bung them in the washing machine.
