Welcome to Money Saving RenStar
A lot of such tips will have been culled from a whole variety of sources, but yes, some might not have been talked about for a month or two...
The BEST tip to send in though would simply be the address of this site!Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. One Christmas when we had loads round one guest had to perch on a low set of step ladders and another poor so-and-so had to eat roast turkey atop a rocking footstool. All you could see of him was the feather on his paper hat. He climed he was sea sick by the end of the meal.:DOnly 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

Cut strips, straight across the wrist part, to make colourful elastic bands!0 -
I've used an old paint roller tray and earth from the back garden, for a temporary litter tray (for when I first got my cat...).
I've also used old, but clean socks to make glove puppets, by sewing on old buttons as eyes and odds of wool as hair. You can also re use old cds (or the free ones for the internet ie aol etc) by adding string or twine, and using them in the garden to scare birds away.
Love the ideas others have already suggested...A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -

I've just put my pasting table to good use by covering it with a table cloth and sticking all the party food on it, in the summerhouse (Trouble is, it's raining again - where's the sun they promised)0

:hello: Welcome powie69
I've had CD's dangling from my bush for years now ... never scared any birds away - but then, I do feed the birds, (even hand fed some!) so maybe they just think my CD's are just another batty addition to my garden rather than a true scare
I made my daughter a wall decoration from CD's ... took off the side of a large cardboard box, covered it in some old plain wrapping paper, then glued on CD's in a 3x4 arrangement; she was over the moon with her "trendy" wall hanging LOL (quite a compliment coming from a then 21yo! She was much harder to please at 14yo)
This weekends "Double Duty" was back to that single portion tealeaf spoon from my original post ...
... got a great bottle of wine from Lidl but the blinking cork split so I had to push it back into the bottle with the end of a wooden spoon - used the tealeaf spoon to "strain" the wine into glasses so no one ended up with cork floating on their wineI think I got away with it

A screw can also double as a corkscrew. Tie a piece of string around it and screw it into the cork then pull on the string.0
