Discovered last night that the drip tray that came with my George Foreman does excellent double duty as a garlic bread holder! Perfect size"It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that, I'm sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it comin'."

I use grocery bags (the watchamacallits that most of bring our shopping home in) as bin liners and rubbish bags. I haven't bought a bin bag for years and years and years.
Oh, and those cable twist things they use a lot to keep things together when you buy something new... I use them sometimes as bag ties for the freezer, and others for small tie up jobs in the garden.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Few interesting ones... In my house we also
.... use the (clean) salad spinner to spin delicate handwashing
old thghts to make fairy/batman wings (with coathangers)
Very glossy brochures (adressed to the last resident) to get textured paper for card making
socks with hole as a handglove to polish shoes
magnetic advertising bits are cut up to old home made magnets
sorry bits of candles to give a boost to a failing open fire

Oasis is good for holding small models for painting. You can suspend them on cocktail sticks, chopsticks, twigs or bits of flower arranging wire. You can also use a lump of bluetack or plasteciene instead.0

You know, these tips are great, but do you realise you can turn them into hard cash by submiting them to women weekly magazines like 'Take a Break', 'Chat', 'That's Life' etc? My mother-in-law was in the hospital recently and during visiting hours, I read her stories from these mags. Of course I could have just nicked your ideas and sent them in myself, but, just thought I'd let you know anyway. It's your choice.0
