Rubber gloves uses

for opening bottle/jar lids that are difficult,
for removing cat hair on furniture or clothes by rubbing them against the fur or hair
for gardening-keeping dirt from under fingernails-easier than putting soap under fingernails
for washing hair if you have dry hands...for dying your hair..
to remove steaming food from microwave--easier to grip than regular pot holders....

Morning!What can I do with my old rubber washing up gloves?There are two mini holes in the RH glove but the LH glove is fine.Do you repair your old gloves or use them for something else?It doesn't seem very MSE to throw them away and whilst washing up (with a soggy right hand) I was even thinking about some sort of rubber glove exchange .... send in a decent glove and get a pair in exchange sort of thing ... but maybe I'm overthinking MSE and OS a bit too much? You usually always wear out the right glove if you are right-handed and the left if you're left-handed. Always save the glove that isn't worn out. Turn it inside out and use it with the 'good' glove from your other pair.
I have also read (Tightwad Gazette) that you can cut a patch from the cuff of your rubber glove and glue it, with a water-proof glue, over the hole.
Or mark your gloves in some way and use them for other jobs around the house, such as shoe polishing.0 -
