ideas for cheap honeymoon places going 28/29th May?

Hello,
we are getting married on saturday 26th May, on a bit of a budget (tue MSE style!)

we are looking for a honeymoon to go on the monday or tuesday 28th/29th. live in Derbyshire, so closest airports are Nottingham east midlands and Birmingham. happy to travel to other airports if discount outweighs cost of travel!

we cannot afford maldives or bahamas or any of the usual suspects. have no budget at all really but could reasonably scrape together £500 each.

would love to go for 10 days/2 weeks if at all possible as we have only ever managed a few week long holidays in last 7 years.

really like greece, will consider anywhere, just feel we would like it to be a bit 'special' and honeymooney if poss!

i would recommend https://www.olympicholidays.co.uk for somewhere different in greece- they are well priced and have a wide choice of good quality accomodation.
for honeymoon try somewhere different for example they fly from nottingham to corfu but i suggest you stay on paxos.
i highly recommend ithaka( fly to kephalonia) captain yannis apts
price for paxos bb starts at £830 ish

Paleokastritsa in Corfu is absolutely gorgeous, so much so that i am getting married there in June!!:j

I reckon, in true MSE style, for very close to you figure, you could get to Malaysia - probably a cheap 3* in Penang for 8-10 days. May is incredibly cheap time to fly.. And it's cheap whilst you are there. Why not try Travelmood or Travelbag or similar for a quick quote.

I regularly used to price together 10 nights at the Ferringhi Beach Hotel in Penang for around £415 in May for my old company.

Half termers tend not to go long-haul so I doubly recommend my Malaysia suggestion!
