I was doing so well - now I'm in trouble. :-(

Its not fair. :wall:
I was doing really well. Not long since my lightbulb moment, got my finances just about back on track, and was really starting to feel like I was on top of things.
November seems like so long ago, as this has been a full on month of hardcore MSE practise! However, I just received a letter saying that my charges for Nov would be deducted on 2/01/07, a total of £247!!!!
I've managed to pay my arrears this month, and all bills have been paid on time. I've been really good this month, but these charges will mean I have just £80 after bills to live on in Jan. My cards are nearly maxxed, so I can only see this means I will start to spiral out of control.
I've rung Lloyds, and they were totally uninterested, "its your fault" etc.
I've run out of things to sell, and I'm burnt out because I already do a full time job, all day Sun at Tesco part time, and 2 evenings a week...
Off to cry in a corner and hope it all goes away.

claim your charges back!!!

Thanks Will, I will do that.
But unfortunately that takes lots of time, and certainly wont help me in the next few months.

You can claim your charges back, but that is a long term project and will not yeild instant results.
It sounds to me as if your budget isn't realistic yet - i.e your budget is fine in theory but falls over in practice. Can you post your statement of affairs and spending diary for us to see? It may be that we could have suggestions based on this that you've not seen.0 -
no ur right, u need to try and get out of this hole to start with
anything of major monetory value that you could sell?
have u got another account? could u not move ur pay into this new one and stop Lloyds nicking it all?

See my diary http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=317193
I have been doing so well I'd totally forgotten about how bad I was... *sigh*
I really hope I can struggle though this, as if it carried on at the rate it was doing I'd be in mega deep trouble before long.0 -
get a basic account somewhere else and get paid into that so lloyds can't screw you over, your credit rating is shot anyway.......
thats my advice but obv do your research and its not a recommendation!

Sory to hear this tom.

If its any consolatin the exact same thing happened to me too - right at the start youd be lucky to be able to get away from this easily- if you hadnt had the LB then i guess out would come the cards/ extend OD etc but now those are not options for you.
What was the reason for these bounces? They are fairly hefty...? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
