  • Your credit score is damaged by having boucing DD's Cheques, unauthorised borrowing etc, also late payments and missed payments to any creditor

I was just looking at your speedsheet which is amazing by the way! I see you pay to unison, they can help you with this situation, I'm not sure to what extent but give them a call.
  • The only reason my score is bad is because of late payments and a couple of arrangement to pays. I think the fact that I owe more than I can afford to repay is not helping it either! :(

I think I will give Unison a bell, see what they say. It certainly can't hurt! :)

Thanks for the complement regarding the spreadsheet - it took me !!!!!!! ages!!!!

    Hi Tom,

claiming back your charges is a long term project, but in the short term, have you tried explaining to Lloyds the situation and seeing if they can split the charges, say pay half this month and half next month? The bank I work for have a Debt Management department who would normally agree to do this.

The bank I used to work for wouldn't agree to this, but would sometimes grant a temporary overdraft to cover some of the charges, which in effect is similar.

When you call though, don't let on that you're going to claim the charges back, agree that it's all your fault and promise it'll never happen again.

I trust you've made sure there won't be any charges next month? Cancel DDs etc if necessery.
