Add my vote for SOLVENT to look after us for April. :TMissing Big Mumma tho - hope you get your posts sorted soon.:(
Had an unexpected NSD yesterday, so target exceeded! :jLow spend today, f &v and stamps, so no sweat!;) Maybe get another tomorrow, fingers crossed!
Have a great day all and well done!Hi everyone! Just popping in to report 12 NSD's so far, and thats despite having an utterly rubbish and traumatic week! Tho having absolutely no money does help bump the NSD's! Been popping in every day to see how you're all doing, but difficult to post when I'm at work. You all keep me smiling tho
Going on my hen weekend tomorrow until Monday - can't decide as these will count as NSD's tho?! I've already saved up my money for going out, meals etc and given it to my sister-in-law, so I'm thinking any days when I don't buy myself any extras will count as a NSD? Will review it on Monday I think!
Missing BigMummaF's cheery posts, they always make me smile - hope you get sorted soon! I agree that Solventsoon would be a very good stand-in though.
Happy NSD's everyone! xx
Have a fabulous weekend away, great feeling to have saved up all the money in advance:T. I think you're right with the NSDs, only count extras as spends - you need to have some benefit from having been clever in advance:):)coffee-break wrote: »Well done everyone, especially you guys who've reached your target .
I'm struggling here, but will push on to the end.
Hope you get you 'puter sorted BigMumma, and another vote here for Solvent to be our guardian angel while BigMumma is off the scene.
Well done on finding a good pressie, Solvent :T. That's one out of the way i guess!
Was gonna write-up some MS reports tonight but i'm pooped. Will do them tomorrow instead. Thank crunchie it's Friday (well almost!)
Hang on in there - you're doing great with the NSDs:)
Pleased with the pressie I bought, just need inspiration now for the remaining 4 (or is it 5... yep, it's 5:(:().
Good luck with the MS reports tomorrow:)

Hi everyone
Great work on the NSDs today - we're going to hit record targets this month, I can feel it in my bones (or maybe that's the arthritis 'cos it's raining here again today:rotfl:).
Well done to:
:j:j:jsaorsie - target reached today :j:j:j
Well done to all the following for NSDs today:
skaps (nearly there:T), starnac (even more nearly there, fingers crossed for the next two:T, coffeeholic (my OH puts extras in the shopping trolley as well:( - you definitely get extra points for avoiding temptation on pay day:T), gettingthereslowly (:jto avoiding the vending machine), SarahNeedle1872 (18-brilliant :j), slowlyfading (15-doing well:j), dealwithdebtdot, karenccs67 and Lollypop75 (keep going :T- you're all doing well), fedupandskint (:j to doing better than last month), Keiss 21 (well done for getting up to 8 - you've had a busy month)
Well after that record amount of NSDs, I feel quite ashamed to say that I haven't had one today... oops
Good luck to everyone for tomorrow

Morning all! Thanks Solventsoon for that great post, everyone is doing SOOOO well! We are a great bunch for cheering each other on!
Katenut - have a wonderful weekend, personally, I wouldnt count those days as spenders as you've saved and covered all the expenses. Just enjoy and have a ball -( maybe we should have a "virtual" hen night on here for you!) I'm having a pink glittery stetson thanks! :rotfl:
I'm hoping for another NSD today as it's pouring rain and I can't really be bothered going out. Im off today so I think I'll do some housework then settle down with my book. Had a low spend yesterday, BUT I stuck ridgidly to my list (a first) and started my savings stamps at the PO for car tax. That is the one expense Im guilty of burying my head in the sand about. My resolution is to put a bit away each month so Im not shelling out £330 come December to tax two cars. My granny would be proud of me, as she used to save like this every week from her pension to cover her bills.
Have a lovely day everyone, hope its dry where you are! :j

NSD number 8 for me yesterday. Had a really good start to the month but lots of unexpected expenses in the second half so I can't make my target now. Will keep trying to keep spends down for the rest of the month and try again in April.
Well done everyone on your NSDs.Debt at LBM (May 2007) - £32,891
Debt at 06.04.10 - £9158.57. Getting there slowly. :j

Morning all,
I must report that I havent done very well on NSDs this month  I lost track of how many (or few!) I had. I think I managed 6 so far, I should have two more- due to no money being left in the accountbefore the end of the month.
I've got myself organised for next month, I am giving myself an allowance of £10 per weekday and £50 per weekend to live off. This should be easy and I hope to reduce it over the coming months. This doesnt include any bills but does include any groceries on top of the monthly tesco shop (so the fresh stuff).
The idea is that I will continue with my NSDs so that the budget from the NSDs can either be carried over and saved for an occasion or something I really want or I can save the extra money. This budget method tends to work best for me because after bills and working out the budget money I instantly pay off everything else left in my account on my credit card :j
Well.... that's the ideaDoes anyone else do it a similar way? I just lose receipts and forget how much I've spent on what so budgeting in catergories seems to be very unsuccessful for me!

Hi emilyka, I was just browsing and saw your post. I had aimed to do something similar for this month but within a few days it had all gone to pot, which is really embarrassing:o:o
I'll try again for April. As I'll be overdrawn within a week of being paid NSDs should be relatively easy to achieve :(
