Free Cinema Tickets - Discussion thread

Question to all free film lovers: do you know if any companies advertise their films on Twitter? I've recently been getting into following ppl on Twitter and have found a few interesting deals and comps through links on there but I can't seem to find any freebie related 'tweets'? Admittedly I think it's quite difficult to search on Twitter so was just wondering if anyone on this forum knew of anyone to follow? I've found @seefilmfirst but it doesn't seem particularly useful!

Wrong. I don't do it to put my post up (I have posted on other areas unlike you.) I do it because a while ago I used to get codes from here and get tickets for myself. So now when I find codes, I post it on here and yes they may be from other people/sites but I have ALWAYS given credit to the people I take it off unless I actually found the code myself (which I have done on some occasions.)

I do not leech off other sites as you say without posting credit or to up my count (I can up my count in other ways should that have been the case), I do it so that others on here can get the chance to get tickets just like I do and because I am grateful to those who have posted on here and allowed me to watch some really awesome films in the hope that I can also give them that opportunity as they may not use other sites like I do. I am more than happy for people not to thank me regardless of whether they get tickets or not, all I care is that other MSE users are actually getting tickets just like they have given me the chance too.

If you find the words "Courtesy of" and "Many thanks to the very awesome" hard to understand in my posts, then I suggest you go back to school to find out what this means. You'll then realise that my sentences are saying the code isn't my own and that I have taken it from another site and that I am grateful to the poster who has found it and has allowed me to post it on here to give others the opportunity to also get tickets.

It's funny you mention my post count going up yet looking at your post count, the majority are just on the threads discussion where I don't see you making any sort of contribution. Prior to my post counts on the codes only thread, I HAVE posted on other threads and other areas of this site too. I always thank those who help me even sending PM's just to send a personalised thanks then just the button. My posts aren't solely on codes only and nor do I do it to control people (how you even control people by posting codes is beyond me - just proves to show what a malicious mind you have!!).

I truly believe people should get credit if they were the OP of the code from different sites and this is what I do. Many others on here do it too.

It's really disgusting to find people like you who think that people have some incentive or some malicious reasons as to why they post on the thread. Is it so hard to actually believe or accept that people might post codes they get from other sites to allow their fellow MSE users to grab tickets like they do? What do you suggest we do since you are such a know it all? Shall we not post on the codes thread anymore so those users who don't use other sites and solely rely on MSE for codes miss out just because you're such an sad little person who gets uptight about people taking codes from other sites? Is that your pathetic solution?

Also, only once or twice have I duplicated a code which in recognising my error, I have ALWAYS deleted my post. The codes I post are NOT duplicates. They were new ones, which yes, are from other sites and have been fully credited.

So in future, get your facts right before you speak you spiteless fool. If you feel so bitter towards other users on here who are of nothing but help then go elsewhere and come up with your own site where spiteless people like yourself can join you and you can be bitter together.

Also, the other poster you are talking about is phunkygal who finds codes on her own not through leeching, thank you. And I'll have you know that she is a wonderful person, not someone who controls people with codes. I have met her in person so I do know exactly how wonderful she is (and she certainly isn't an uptight prat like you).

P.S In the same way you accuse me and others of leeching others posts, you are clearly the sort of person who leeches codes to get tickets for your selfish self and probably never bother to thank the people who put it on here. And yes, I've made an assumption here. Not nice, is it?

Although I have joined the free codes part of MSE. I never seem to get the emails alerting me to codes. What am I doing wrong. Have to keep checking MSE to see if there are any new posts - will get the sack if I keep doing this.

Should I click on the email me the page. If I try to do that it tells me that I do not have permission to access this page but the site has allowed me to log in.
