Who are black knight associates - any feedback?

Hi all i am new to the forum, i currently have / had a case with Loancheck ( i dont really know what is going on with it anymore)

A good couple of months ago i received a letter from a company called black knight associates saying that they were takin over my case, at the time i thought it was just junk and surely my case must still be loancheck but im really not sure now what the situation is, i am really confused with whats gone on, surely if this black knight company are now running my case i would have had to give my permission for loancheck to pass my personal details on to them? but then i am not all to sure how the data protection act regulates this.

Can someone shed some light on who black knight, who its run, an am i ever actually going to get a result with these people or loancheck?

Sorry about the long winded garbled post but like i said i really am confused

Thanks

I wondered this a few weeks ago?? It seems like another trading name.
  • it does seem a little odd, one thing that i have uncovered looking through the notes my wife has been keeping is when she called loancheck back in may last year for an update on the situation she spoke to the same girl she has recently spoken to at black knight? so is it the same staff under two trading names?

Does anyone know who runs black knight? i might call them to see what i can establish as it states in recent posts i have seen on here when i searched earlier who runs loancheck

I think they are "linked" according to the domain names.

Have you tried to make a complaint about your case at all for being misled and bad advice. You really need to get it sorted quick as people are NOW being told they will get charges (which is what Loancheck said would not happen) for some claims. Have a read through the loancheck thread and see if you can relate to anyone on there.

Black Knight Associates are a software house based in Telford.

They provided software and website domains to Loancheck and entered into an administration agreement with Loancheck to try and help them overcome their huge backlog of work.

To satisfy this administration agreement they recruited some of the staff.

Allegedley they never got paid by Loancheck for this work and have subsequently closed Loancheck's sites down.

In the main they provide software to solicitors, accountants, expert witnesses and consumers.

They also provide disbursement funding to law firms to enable them to progress cases.

They have recently moved to a new site in Telford, the Maxell Factory, which I understand is owned by their owners so plainly they have got a fair bit of financial clout!!!

They are run by Andrew Chadwick, a Chartered Accountant, and Fraser Tart, a lawyer.

At least they are both personally and independently regulated.
  • How did you find this out? do you have a case with them also? has yours been settled?

    thanks

No - I just phoned them up and asked.

They were very open about it

Loancheck "sold" their cases to Black Knight who then wrote to all the clients asking them if they wanted Black Knight to continue administering their files.

Loancheck allegedley told Black Knight that they had written to the clients informing them of this fact but .......

Black Knight have now assessed every file where the client agreed and have written to many of the clients with their findings.

If you have a case all you need to do is call them and they will tell you.
