This is the year to #getfit
  • I am going to put 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p pieces in the pot to start with and I have another pot (not sealed) which I am going to save 50p and 20p pieces in and then when I get it half full will count it up and pay it off a debt.

I was wondering though is it OK when I change up the 50p and 20p pieces that I put a piece of paper in my sealed pot with how much I had saved so that when I count up next December 1st it will include the money already used or is that not allowed? Wanted to ask before I did it, only I really can't wait another year to pay extra off my debt.

Thanks (won't be offended if it's cheating)

    Hi TMD,
It's not cheating however you want to so your challenge is fine, we're all flexible here, and we know at times that people have to use the money, at least it'll be there for you, and it's helping you get out of debt :D

Ooh gilligan, your poor DS on nights near water must get frozen, nowhere colder to my mind!

Ah thanks Hales, yes, I'm fine thanks very much. :A

As I said in my PM, TMD you do whatever you like with it. It's important for us all to do what we're happiest with and none of us should accrue more darned interest or have to pay blessed bankers (never sure if I use the correct initial letter there ) late payment fees when we have money sitting at home in pots. I know what I'd prefer to do!! :D Very MSE too :money:!

That's absolutely fine to do mummytummy! You still saved it after all! The SPCs all mainly about saving for Christmas, but ...I'd far sooner members use it at times when they need to rather than keep it in their pots and accrue interest or need to pay late payment fees because the debts remained unpaid. Be happy mt and well done on that £2!!

Don't worry sparky, my eye is firmly fixed on those 2 blighters. I even polished the naughty seats earlier in anticipation of bad behaviour! It just won't be tolerated! Flippin' eck, I almost sounded a little like one of my old teachers then...scary!

Target updated Oops. Good luck with reaching it on this 3rd time, but if you don't then at least the effort's there. It's always good to see you back. :D

I see you've started as you mean to go on Greenbynature, well done!

Forget about the £1 in the 10p or less pot PAID, nice surprise when you get to next year! :j

Have a lovely saving day everyone, keep dry!
