I just went to my local Tesco and the manager told me they lost £250,000 in Pedigree coupons fraud at Dudley and Whitchurch stores! I wonder how much they have lost around the country.
    250,000 divided by 6.89 = 36, 284 coupons

I find that very very hard to believe!

Lets agree to disagree on the point you raised re the coupon police as most of the posters on here didnt want to lose the advantages of this policy through it being abused and therefore posted warnings against anything they perceived as aiding the downfall of the policy and Im sure they did so with the very best of intentions.

However I am definitely with you on the point of complaining to customer services and emailing everywhere possible regarding coupons that werent taken. This must have been highly annoying for them and very tedious on opening their emails and be bombarded by people complaining. In effect this kept bringing the subject to their attention which probably contributed to bring down the policy.

Thanks for your comments - but really, we're not poles apart here! - I acknowledge that people can have the best intentions, but I do think its a waste of time lecturing people on what to do and not do - as I said, its down to every individual to make up their own mind. The big 'abusers' of the system really don't give a hoot about anyone else's opinion, so just as well not bother - and really, it's not nice to keep seeing people having a go, usually accompanied by those horrible little angry face things, which just add to the aggressive tone. Anyway, thanks again for the considered feedback, and happy moneysaving. SS

  • Good lord - I disappear off the web for a week or so come back and discover my worse couponing nightmare

I did go into my Mr T's tonight - but only to confirm that it too has changed the policy, had actually managed to convince myself that they wouldn't have, but of course I was wrong.

I've only been couponing for a couple of months and its been a total lifesaver - losing those coupons is gonna screw my budget six was to Sunday, and my friend's cause I have been getting her cat food for her. I currently hate the peeps who abused the policy to the point where Mr T's canceled it. Some people just don't give a damn about others.

Anyway that's my two cents worth - but I will def be boycotting Mr T's from now on.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to afford Christmas :o

OK, if I'm truthful, I did find it a bit odd when I first came across it - but, as a new arrival, I wasn't so rude as to comment on his way of speaking and I quickly got used to it! I reckon that you could do with learning some manners and being just a touch more polite to long standing members who appear to be generally very well thought of.

If you were in a group of people just socialising, would you be ignorant enough to take one of the group to task for not speaking in a way that you consider to be correct? I doubt it - so why do you think you can make such comments online?
