Cheap cigarettes in Europe?

Anyone answer this correctly??
I know the allowance from the Canaries is 200 ciggies per person - no problems there. What I would like to know is at my airport NCL, they sell packs of ciggies (5x200) in Duty Free for non-EU travellers. They also have a poster saying the items can be bought and collected on your return, so how can 1000 ciggies be allowed to be collected on your return when the allowance is only 200??
Anyone tried this, from any UK airport??
phatbear, can you offer any guidance??

Most duty free shops offer the service of being able to pick up items on your arrival back into the UK off of your holidays, however im not altogether sure if this applies to cigs, if it did then I would assume you would have to pay the dutyable price in the shop, not the duty free price.
If the duty free shop was knowingly concerned with an attempt evade duty, ie allowing passengers to evade controls with their goodies, then they would/could lose their bond status and not be allowed to sell dutyable goodiesLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
My mum called me yesterday from benidorm to say cigarettes and tabacco had gone up. Golden Viginia has gone from 35 to 48 euro, Soverign cigarettes from 23 - 27, that's what she was bringing back so she she didn't notice any other prices and this was in the official tabac shop.0

I flew from Newcastle last month there was a notice that said the collect service was not for tobacco rproducts.0

Now that's what I call a good sign to give up smoking! Common sense tells me that it's even more money going up in smoke!Better in my pocket than theirs!0 -
Does anyone know the latest Golden Virginia prices in Holland?
A lorry driver who comes in to my works place says they have gone down in
price to 3.70 euros for 50g.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks in advance.0 -
You might be able to find the answer on this site if you have a dig around https://www.day-tripper.net.
The adverts for the shops have their price lists, he normally has a section for holland if you can find it0 -

Thanks for this info, just checked and the prices have shot up, Amber Leaf baccy from 2.5 Euros to 4.4E/50g. GV as stated, JPS from 23.50-28.50.
Tobacco prices the 1st column is the fixed price in official tabaccos, 2nd column from vending machines etc. Cigarillos for ciggies and Picadura de liar for baccy prices. Consultar precios to see prices for all brands.0 -

Because the driver i spoke to did say this has just happened.0 -
I don't know, you could email him and ask.
I think it does show when it was updated last next to the prices on most of his editorials0
