Im Sarah and have been suffering with depression since I had my son who is coming up for 7yrs and it was a REALLY bleak time and finally broke down when he was 6months and started medication and have been on them ever since, took a break to have my DD but went start on them soon after.
Ive had councilling and found it usefull but IVE decided to BITE THE BULLET like and try and deal with my OWN problems head on and not be on medication for the rest of my life.
Ive been having good days and bad days but I trying to work out WHY I feel like this and is there anything I can do to change it.
I know there is herbal tablets out there and I may look into them at some point but I really want to beat this nasty thing that has STOLEN the best part of my sons baby days away and I wont get them back.
I want to offer you all my support and love to you all.

Morning all.
Well I am back to work but being freelance/self employed and working from from home it's not much of a journey :rotfl:
Looking forward to some of my new projects I'm working with this year - v.exciting and I may even get to go to the far east with work for a long weekend which would be an adventure. Not bad for a girl who once spent months indoors :j
In the here and now my sinuses are still yukkie - I won't give you the gory details at this time of the morning0 -
I feel a complete waste of space today. After two weeks of being with my wife and son, they've gone back to school / work today and I feel so alone.
After dropping son at school I came home and crawled back into bed, there are so many things I should be doing but really don't see the point.0 -
hi all, i woke very early today, so excited waving the kids off this morning :j , the happy feeling didnt last too long tho, as i had counselling, and the first thing she asked was, how had i been over the school hols, and i just broke down in tears, at the end of the session, she asked me if there was any point having any sessions, as there is nothing she can do.
after that i met my support worker in town for a coffee and a chat, back home now feeling tired, and am going out tonight, not really in mood, but i know ian will cheer me up, and make me smile, so i will go out, and at least i dont have to cook tonight.
hi Sssssss, (((hugs))), it takes some getting used to the emptiness after having a house full over the school hols, take care of yourself, and if it helps try to get out just for a short while for a bit of fresh air, usually makes me feel bit more positive
hugs all
shaz xxxenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -

To Sssss and Shazrobo
You both achieved something today - you got yourselves up, dressed and did what you had to do. Well done! give yourselves some credit and a pat on the back.
I only got up 2 hrs ago, am still in yesterday's clothes (which were already yesterday's clothes) and although there's loads of stuff I should be doing (like phoning work to say I won't be in this week) I just can't be bothered.
When you're low, everything is so much harder and people don't realise just how much effort, determination and energy it takes to function reasonably normally. Having made an effort this morning, its perfectly understandable that you're both feeling drained now.
Shazrobo - enjoy the calm and treat yourself to some "me" time - it sounds like you deserve it
Sssss - enjoy the anticipation of spending time with your wife and son this evening, and enjoy that time with them later
Take care of yourselves xxThe independent woman's checklist for success :1. Look like a lady, 2. Act like a man, 3. Work like a dogLife instructions : 1. Breathe in, 2. Breathe out, 3. thank you so much for your well reasoned words, the walk to school to pick up DS did me the world of good.
I really understand how even phoning work can be really really hard, I used to spend hours looking at the phone when I had to make a call or would just sit in the car for ages if I had to go somewhere and finally give up.
I'm sending over to you some of the strenght I have this afternoon in the hope it also will help you maybe just get showered and dressed.
here it comes
