Predictions of 50% falls now hitting mainstream in the Independent

Personally, I think we'll see a drop of 30% from November 2007 prices by December 2009 (halfway there in most areas).
If things haven't improved, there's a good chance it hit 40%+ in the following year.
Biggest house price boom ever they said, wouldn't the price drops be relative to the increases? (taking into account inflation obviously).0 -
...whcih is why immigartion MUST BE STOPPED
Labour won't stop immigration! Besides, rich foreigners do not need to emigrate to buy property here.
We're going to be overrun by foreign landlords - you wait and see. FTBs will never get on the property ladder now that greedy rich foreigners are going to swoop in and buy up shedloads of property.0 -
Did you receive much at Xmas this year?
such as HUMILITY and GOOD MANNERS?
did you gave anything away also?
like RUDENESS AND STUPIDITY?
If so then welcome back.
Why aren't you out scrummaging through the bins? Or haven't you saved up enough newspaper vouchers to get 4% off a pair of £1.99 thermal gloves?????:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: A tad nippy ooop north right now!
Aaaaw.......well at least you've got Butlins to look forward to next year - and as you've collected 1628 sachets of tomato ketchup, salad cream and vinegar from JD Wetherspoons you won't need to use that 5p OFF Voucher for Heinz Ketchup - they might let you trade it in for a different Heinz product - beans maybe?!!:money:
By the way, Dervish..............................did you ever manage to get that voucher for your girlfriend?

Thanked 300 Times in 136 PostsHELP! Anyone got any spare TIMES Eat Out for £5 vouchers?
Hello - I am putting out a plea as I am desperate here.
Does anyone have any of those Times £5 eat out vouchers or coupons they don't want please?
I was collecting them but my husband has thrown them away the other day by accident. Is there any way I can get some more without having to buy them off ebay?
If anyone has any they don't want or would like to swap them for some others etc then please PM me or reply.
Thanks.

Ho-hum at the end of the day we all need somewhere to live. The only option is to sit tight and over pay, with lower interest rates we should all be paying the extra towards the re-payment part of our mortgages and clear them off as quick as possible.
Yes it sucks but we just need to do what we can.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0 -

just to be clear though i've never said that nice areas won't drop in price - that's far too much of a general thing to say.0 -

Government bonds.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -

pathetic.
I stand by what I said earlier as you have just again proven your childishness and stupidity.
You must have enjoyed the last few hours of wading through all of my posts to find something to attack me with...?
Whereas we all just need to see you most recent post as they always STINK of bad manners, rudeness, arrogance and agressive abuse.0 -
There's a lesson to be learned from all these 50% falls threads being posted every year, that never come to pass.
Wonder what it could be?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
