  • Someone said (a few pages ago) that Gap were going to be late paying this month but money should be in by the end of the month.

    Who fancies a bet????

Just written the worst possible review of a shop ever and I'm expecting a call tomorrow or even refused to be paid. Anyone giving odds against?

Basically did a job and started of the usual.. you know.. assitant comes over, I say I'm looking for xxx and can you pleeeease help me.

Well my reply was to be pointed towards xxx without any hint of assistance. Asked a follow up to try and get the assistant interested. Didn't work. In fact I was left on my own and the assistant went away without another word... and not to serve another customer. I was fuming so did a quick count of xxx and left the shop.

GAP will be in our accounts tomorrow morning; my bank have just confirmed it with me.

    :D
  • Bare is quite good but the pay isn't that great. It works out at about £10 for a 15 euro job or thereabouts.

I'm a newbie to MSE but am a fairly experienced Mser - I do lots of jobs for Bare, around 130 in the last six months - they pay into your bank account in euros - your bank then converts that into sterling - some banks charge for that others don't. Mine doesn't. With the current rate of exchange a 15 euro job is worth £12.50. That said I don't do many jobs at 15 euros. Most I do are 20 euro plus - its' not unknown to do 11 twenty euro jobs in a day.

Someone asked about how Bare show payments pending. If it is a single job, say a building society, it has a payment pending date if it is part of a circuit (usually car dealerships) it doesn't. All jobs are paid in the month after the job is finalised. So if you do a job on the 2nd of October, it gets reviewed on say the 4th. It will be treated as finalised and marked received on your shop log on the 4th. They would pay it around the 27/28 of the following month.

    Hope that helps

I have been told that the bookies with GAP will be on by next weekend at the very very latest.

Not been paid by Bare yet this month either. I think its due on the 28th. Anyone been paid by GAP yet this month? When they pay this month will it be for the jobs I did in October? I only did one in October but about 10 in November.

There's been a "delay" again with Gap payments and they're going to be late again. Nov payments are for Oct jobs - sorry!

Update: Just checked my account online and it's showing Gap as being paid in with tomorrow's date on already - these quite often show up the day before on my account albeit dated for the next day, but maybe that's just Lloyds.
  • I'm in full time employment as an accountant but i previously worked as a car salesman and sales manager. I would like to put this experience to good use as i would like to think having sat on both sides of the table i could provide objective criticism. Does anyone know of a company that specialises in motor trade MS.

Alternatively I would welcome suggestions for other jobs that could make use of my past experience but fit around my 'day' job.

    Thanks
