Cs just phoned me back, they are going to do a investiagtion, it looks like its all been blamed on me, they are going to check the cctv footage so see if i have been abusive and imidating, also they are going to get the loss preventation team to look in to my account as according to the store i have been using lots of vouchers. So if they find i have been doing what they say i have, i will have my card took off me and if any further incidents happen then they will issue a ban to that store. I have never been abusive and imtidating and i have not used lots of vouchers, i learnt my lesson back in may. I have asked for it to be send to me in writting.

Firstly can I ask what happened in May?

Secondly, this is getting out of hand and scary now. Some Boots staff seem to think they are Mr Boots themselves

How dare they treat you like this, where has people's tact gone

You must feel horrible, I know from reading your posts today I feel terrible for you so big hugs for you.

My OH is buying me a bottle of Sensuous for Christmas. I've just done a virtual shopping basket on .com, consisting of a 100ml bottle (£65), plus Estee Lauder lip gloss gift set (£25) and EL holiday eyeshadow set (£20) plus free EL sample duo. Total £110 but with 3940 points back, which in bootsing logic means the lot is really costing £70.60 - the two gift sets are costing only £5.60 more than he was going to spend on the perfume anyway......

Think he'll "buy" it? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

GHD IV are O/S on .com (another xmas present) and I really wanted them whilst the 1500 points are on offer - anyone know if the mini GHD's are as good? Or how they differ from the mark IV's? TIA  http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=48764&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051

mini ones are rubbish for long hair. I had them and they;re like a cm thick... takes forever to do your hair lol.

Thanks for that - it's what I suspected. What's the betting the mark IV's will be back in stock as soon as the 1500 pts has finished....:rotfl:

I realise that others have given you some good advice moneysaver12, but the last thing I'd do is ask for any points in relation to 'bad' service. When I complained to CS once, I was so fed up of the attitude of a small minority of SAs in our larger store, that I specifically asked CS not to give me any extra points, and that I'd rather have a better quality of service - like good manners etc - than points. It actually had the reverse effect and I did get points added, but I'd far rather have seen an improvement in staff training than points.

If I was you, I'd draft a letter, not an email, and run it by a poster on here that you know you can trust (not in the main forum, by PM), as the less you say publicly from now on, the better it seems imho. I'm sure by what you've already posted that Boots have 'marked' your card, so catalogue everything that's happened to you in the last few months and get it down in writing whilst it's all still fresh in your memory.

I'm seriously considering writing another mail myself, about the same small minority of SAs that are guaranteed to make what should be a pleasant day's shopping into a chore. Boots might think that you're only one person, but you're also one person that can influence how others reading this forum can see how Boots and Boots CS are treating certain shoppers. And in your case, although there's only one side to it so far, it all seems pretty shabby.

But get those points spent asap.

    Good luck.

    Well said :T :T

For those of you who remember my horrible experience a few weeks ago, I have heard nothing back and I was assurred someone would contact me

I really want to make contact with them to find out what - sorry if - anything did happen but feel "scared" too incase I get similar treatment to yourself i.e my card being flagged up and they "investigate" myself.

Wish I had some big b*lls to say how I feel without fearing loosing what I have honestly earned by spending thousands in Boots :o

I wonder is this situation becoming all to familiar because Mr B has eyes monitoring our shopping lists - what vouchers we use etc....

IF YOU ARE READING PLEASE RE TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO HAVE SOME BASIC MANNERS PLEASE. WE ARE SHOPPING IN YOUR STORE, SPENDING OUR MONEY OVER OTHER HIGH STREET RETAILERS. GLITCH OR NO GLITCH WE STILL SPEND MONEY!!!!

Rant over - sorry for shouting, maybe I sould put it in red for him ;)
  • :o small glitch on.com..:o not sure whether to post:o and jeapordise the Boots site:o while there is a good points earner on?:o

    It is regarding fibresure
    Does anybody remember?:D
I'm with squidgeum on the paypal issue too, you are not as covered ( in general) as you think, also when you do go for a refund with Boots it takes ages
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

MONEYSAVER12, good for you sweetheart. Glad you used a lot of your points. You should have taken me with you, we could have cleaned the store out!

I've managed to spend about £70 worth of points and now only have £90 left. Go me! Think I am going to do some more retail therapy tomorrow, not that there is any need for therapy. Was going to take my nephew too, but surprise surprise, he has pulled out again.

Tried using one of those glam Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium wotsits and managed to cut my face about 20 times. No wonder they are handing these out dead cheap! Mind you, I've never been good at shaving. Back to Gillette for me.

Anyway, a bit of a thick question. Is the Soap and Glory stuff meant to be for women or are men allowed to use it too? I do have quite dry skin as of late, and after reading the information on the pots and tubes and what not, I think it would quite work for me. I've tried Johnsons and Nivea and you name it, nothing seems to work for me. Thing is Soap and Glory smells OTT and very floral/ladylike, I don't want to smell like a butterfly princess. Shall I or shall I not? LOL.

Hmmm, it does smell lush - but I don't think it's very manly! :rotfl:
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

Keep your eyes peeled for the NIVEA VISAGE DNAGE ZONE ACTION tubes. They were reduced to £8.00. I saw some down to £4.00 today, and some cute lady yesterday said they were down to £2.50 at her store. So these would technically be free.

I also saw some SKIN WISDOM something or the other, which was reduced to £9.60, but today yours truly saw them at £4.00, so these would be free too.

These offers are not at all stores, as I saw them in one, but not another.
