if you've washed a stained item and the mark hasn't quite come out try this
after washing, hang on line and leave until it rains and then leave until it dries
must be a combination of chemicals in the rain and the sunlight but stains always disappear,
sometimes it takes 2 rainfalls
perfect for getting food stains out of kids clothes

I remember when my daughter was a baby and we were out for a meal and she was wearing a lovely little dress with a large white collar than got covered in pizza sauce.
I know it was still stained when I hung it out to dry but after a couple of days in the sun the stain had gone. Don't remember if it rained or not but certainly the sun had bleached out the stain0 -
Had a stubborn stain on daughters white top, I squirted a bit of fresh lemon juice on it then hung it in the sun, and the stain completely vanished.
I'd already tried those pre-wash stain removers which had failed so here's to natural (and cheap!) remedies!0 -
I'm giving that one a go! Orange paint ona white school shirt, tried it through the wash and everything else, so squirted with lemon juice and hung it out.
Three silent people watching me do it and not a word said, they must be getting used to my new money saving ways!
Mind you when one had an insect bite which was itching like mad, I told them to put urine on it and the look I got!! Annoying really as I wanted them to test it on them! Do men get itchy feet or do they cure it by missing the toilet bowl in the ealry hours of the morning ;D ??? ;D0 -

thanksEvery cloud has a silver lining:j0 -
For removing tomato sauce/curry stains from tupperware dishes, soak in sterilizing solution (the kind you get for baby's bottles), leave overnight and they come up as new.0
