Sorry but that does not work for standard bar codes. This only works for tesco bar codes for their own variable weight/price products or reduced items. For instance, they could reduce some hovis bread to 43 pence and the bar code could be 543210000431 - 54321 (code for hovis bread)000043(43p)1(check digit)But you are correct about the last digit, it is a check digit.

Nicky Clarke Smooth It Over 60 Second Secret.. sel 15/05/08.. 2 for £6.00 charged £4.97 for each.. I bought 6 & was refunded just under £48.00.. :T Should have been just under £24.. Found this in 2 stores, one refunded correctly.. also normal smooth it over @ £4.22.. 2 for £6.00 was on an out of date label.

HP Deskjet Printer D4260.. Poster 17/06/08.. £59.97..Save £35.00.. £24.97.. Charged 59.97 & refunded £70.00 with no quibbles... :j Check around the stores for stacks of them in the aisles as that's where I found mine.

Tesco Internet Phone FF128.. 1pence.. I thought I was on to a winner here with an out of date sel of 17/06/08.. priced @ £29.xx - £19.xx.. but when I scanned it.. it came up at 1p :eek: .. I naturally took all 6 & bought them.. Girl on the till (No self scan) was gobsmacked, so I just gave her a story of stuff I've had for 1p & its Tescos way of getting rid of stuff... I then found another 1 mixed in with new stock in another store & bought that aswell.. This is old stock so make sure you pick up the FF128 with £5.00 free call time included.. Barcode... 5051140246693..

Thanks - I managed to find 1 in my local Tesco not with the other phones but on a display near the booze aisle. The checkout girl looked at it shrugged and put it though
