in Wales
am planning, for this year's summer holiday, to spend a fortnight backpacking/camping around wales, because i havent seen half as much as the old place as i would like to have seen.
starting out from cardiff/vale of glamorgan (home)...but where next?
which parts of wales do you recommend as must see?
and any recommendations of camp sites?
yours excitedly

The Centre For Alternative Technology in Machynlleth is very good. I assume that's what you were referring to?
My mum runs the bookshop and mail order department there, so I guess I'm slightly biased.
King Arthur's Labyrinth (just down the road) is also quite good, especially if you have kids in tow.
Ynyslas and Borth are nice sandy beaches, situated between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. I think you can get the train there, although I've never tried.

Website here
I've not been for years, but I remember going on a boat, I think underground, through a waterfall.
You have to wear hard hats and get to go down into some caves.
Sorry, I'm not really promoting it very well!
I think the website is your best bet. Or I can PM you my mum's email address and you can ask her!

Oh, and there's Celtica in Machynlleth itself. It's closing down soon I think, so it may not be open if you decide to go.
You used to be able to get a discount ticket to get into all three (Celtica, KAL and CAT)...-- £2 coin savers club = £90 (£84 banked) --0
