                    Note updated 26 Feb 2008
What's the deal?
Stamp prices are on the rise, on 7 April first class stamp prices will rise by 2p and second class by 3p. Yet you can buy stamps now which are still valid then, and get a discount.
Where's the discount?
Superdrug is offering 5% off first-class stamps until Sunday 2 March 2008. While it's often just as quick and cheaper to buy second-class, if you do use first-class often anyway, then stock up while the offer's on.
What they'll cost at Superdrug:
Provided the stamps say 'first' rather than having a cost on them (e.g. 34p) then even when stamp prices go up - they're still useable as first-class stamps. Thus there isn't a problem stocking up on them when you can get them.

Stamps are something that I forget to put in my budget. Any discount is welcome." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

            This offer can't be licked.
Is Superdrug the only company that regularly sell stamps at reduced prices? All credit to them.
They have my stamp of approval.0

i was always under the impression that stamps are as good as money because they have got the queens head on. Am i ill infomed? If they are as good as money then then thay can be purchased and then sold back to the post office for face value making instant cash. Just a thought and i'm sure you will tell me if i am wrong!!0

Stamps will be going up in April so even more important to stock up0

Everytime I shop there lately they give me a till spit voucher to do a survey and get 10% off. This would make the stamps even cheaper if you could use it for buying stamps.0

I was under the impression that the price of stamps was set and couldn't be reduced.0

            12.5% Tax Free
Once again the Royal Mail is increasing its charges by more than your government's preferred measure of inflation.
 Letters
Ist class up from 34 to 36p
 2nd class 24 to 27p
 That's a 12.5% increase
Stock up with stamps before the rate changes on Mon 7 April 08
