No. It seems this competition is exempt from normal forum rules.
I don't see why the poster can't just put CASH in the title when they don't know how much it will be. Rather than be sarcastic to katchambers or anyone else who asks a perfectly legitimate question. The poster is the only one allowed to post the competition even though they are not at home when the programme is on.And anyone who tries to help gets slated. They are also exempt from having to do searches and don't get told off for duplicating posts (as lots of others do). This is not an attack on the OP (I'm grateful for all competitions she posts) but more about the reaction by people if anyone dares to question a post.
Rant over, I've needed to get this off my chest since Dalkirst had a go at me for trying to help out.:j0 -

Its a well known fact thats its a cash prize
If catowen waits for the end of the program to list the comp people would moan that the comps not on the site
jeez seems you cant please some people whatever you do
and yes ive posted dupes before like a lot of us probably,
cant understand why your having a moan at Dalkirst aswell he gives up his time to look after these boards aswell as other BG's and i for one am very grateful for them as well as posters of comps

I wish they'd never posted that "Comping for Cash" article - I've just about had my fill of newbies posting to say thanks, and ones that can't work out from previous posts that it's a cash prize for chrissakes.
Newbies, read the comping guide NOW. I know we're supposed to be nice but we say the same thing over and over and get ignored. No wonder we get piddled off. I just want to comp.

People, people, why the arguments?
I can see both sides. I've been comping for around 4 months on this site, so am not what you would call a "newbie" but am certainly not an old timer yet either.
Sometimes, when a "newbie" asks a question, or does something not quite right, it does seem like posters jump down their throat a bit. I do understand that it can be frustrating when things aren't done the proper way though, as its more difficult to follow which comps we've entered.

As for it being a well known fact it's a cash prize, the answer to any question is only easy if you know it. I wasn't suggesting waiting for the exact sum just to put the word cash in the title
