Celyn - any chance of the receipe for the raspberry and white choc muffins? they sound delish :D

4 oz butter (I use stork marg for cakes)
    4 oz sugar
    2 eggs
100g white chocolate chopped into small chunks
2 oz frozen red fruit + 1 tbsp of raspberry jam
    1 tsp baking powder
    6 oz self raising flour

Beat sugar and butter together, add eggs, add chocolate and fruit mix well, stir through flour and baking powder - you may need to add more flour depending on how much liquid is in your fruit.
    15 - 20 mins at 170 degrees

they are disturbingly red though _pale_ and really very sweet :) If you don't have a sweet tooth, I would be tempted to leave the jam out :)

Haven't decided what's for dinner tonight - to be honest, it might be vodka.

My sister bought me some sparkling vodka for my birthday - it's 40 % and fizzy - like drinking surgical spirit and soda :D

I may have chocolate cake too - just to make it more of a balanced diet :)

My lunch wasn't very balanced. I should have had more than fruit for breakfast, but what with the airport it was all I managed.

Lunch was....2 muller crunch corners ( BOGOF of course!) and the remainder of packet of Lebkuchen opened last night. Hmm "Could do better".

Just come downstairs for a cuppa and some clean air. I'm 'doing' our room, certain bits of which haven't been dusted for some time. *chokes* so need a cuppa tea. At the moment I would just like to see the place in some sort of order, (and that doesn't mean dis-order!). Clothes need a good sort out, need to lose a few lbs before my winter trousers will fit again. Must have proper meals. Trying to throw stuff out that I'm just keeping 'in case'.

    back to the grind.

Well, it looks like things are finally moving for us. Mr P rang this morning to say that our solicitor thinks we will exchange on Friday, and complete next Friday (oh, goody - moving day will be Friday 13th...!! :p). Of course, I'm delighted that things are finally happening and the waiting game is over, but things are a bit tricky given that I'm now 120 miles away, and had wanted to stay with Mum for a bit longer whilst she got into the swing of things with her new hip (not least of all because Dad is finding it more tiring than he had anticipated...I think he's feeling his age a little! ;)).

So, I'm about to go and root through the freezer/cupboards to see what I can find, so that if and when I have to go back home to help with packing, etc (and I suspect I will probably make 2 or 3 24hr trips over the next 10 days), I can leave some meals which are easy to heat up and serve so that Dad can be Head Chef and not wear himself out. :D

Want to put a couple of loads of washing through this afternoon, too, so that I can leave everything as "done" as possible - if I do it this afternoon, I can iron it whilst watching telly this evening (hate ironing, so have to try and distract myself where possible so I don't realise I'm doing it!! :rotfl:).

Hope you are all having a good day. Happy Birthday to George :j, and hugs to anyone who needs/wants one...

Your doing better than me - I had Lebkuchen for breakfast and cold pizza for lunch :) Fruit? Isn't that that stuff that comes floating in cocktails? :D

Floss - the vodka's called Camitz - I think she bought it somewhere in London but I have seen it here recently in our local wine shop. I'd recommend the little bottles though - as drinking 700 ml before it goes flat will be a very quick ticket into A&E :) I've managed to keep it fizzy for a week with a champagne saver. It's supposed to be good for [STRIKE]sterilizing surgical equipment [/STRIKE] drinking with fish dishes as it's quite clean tasting.

Well I learn something every day :D I've just had to google Lebkuchen as I'd never heard of it. Going to keep my eye out now though as it sounds yummy! Celyn Thanks for the muffin recipe I'm going to give that a whirl at the weekend :T
