I'd prefer to spend the £27 ontop on the Dell that's been brought up on here a few days ago...poor warrantee, but much nicer laptop :)

The processor may be better and the battery life certainly is. What else makes the Dell a better laptop?

I believe the extended warranty is essential for laptops, and that would make the Dell much more expensive.

3 weeks for delivery - just enough time to bag the cash and run off IMO ;-)

It is worse than the Dell deal... even though this is 2.1GHz, the Dell is dual core which makes it 3.2GHz, The Dell also has double the RAM which will have a huge impact on the speed at which it runs. It also has a bigger hard drive, better graphics and Vista pre-installed.

So, if your not worried about having the extra warranty, then the Dell is a much better choice.

The Express Upgrade offer has finished it only applied to PC's brought before 15th March which were then claimed by 31st March. So unless this is some other offer it looks like they have just forgot to remove it from the website. It would have been Vista Business that you got free under the offer.

Actually if you buy a Dell and reduce the warranty to 90 day C&R you will usually have somebody ringing up after the PC has arrived, offering you warranties at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price than they cost if you buy them when you buy the PC ;)
Thanks to all who post constructively.
