I may wait and see about the BoS accounts, as I'm going to struggle to fund six accounts by the end of the month anyway (will be recycling the same £1k)!

I'm assuming the £1k has to be in overnight - is this not the case with HICA?

Those of you that have multiple Halifax accounts, are there any implications of the same £1000 cycling through all of them? Does it appear "dodgy"?! e.g what would tax man make of it
The tax man will make £1.25 per account per month as the £5 is paid net."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
So far I have resisted this greedyness and have only applied for ONE of these accounts. They are bound to catch on soon and/or reduce the £5.
What on earth is everybody doing with all those debit cards and cheque books?0 -

When I rang to query that I hadn't received cards (just in case lost in post) I was told their "system" (don't think they have any system) had accidentally not issued them, did I want them. No thanks.0 -

Like YB, no request made for cheque book, debit card good for having facility for 3 x maximum daily cashpoint/ branch withdrawal facility and for doing introductory gambling cashback deals. :j
Only 2/3 debit cards received so far, missing one being the online application.0 -

But you need to watch that's the day the £1k (x 3?) happens to be in transit (and parked) to that account? If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Greedy as in taking money from a bank that will quite happily charge you £5 a DAY
for going a penny into an unauthorised overdraft? Did you read the bit in the banner at the top of the page that says "consumer revenge"?
Yes you're right they will probably do a hasty rewrite of the T&Cs once they realise that people are milking their loophole."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0
