    Just a quick whisper.....

Those wooden skewers for doing the sock bouquets, are currently 50p for a pack of 100[approx] in Wilkinsons.....got some today in readiness for my sister's surprise.

These are the muffins all ready to go.

I changed my mind and took them out of the wooden wine box and instead covered the lid with pretty paper and used that as a rigid base.

My grandson gave me a great link for pictures (picsearch) and after typing in "cherries" I had masses to choose from to make my own label.

I'm really pleased with the finished effect and once again many thanks to you all for the wonderful ideas on here.

    That looks brilliant rose_sparky

How do you get ribbons to twist and twirl like that ? Are they special sort ? I know when I worked in a florist shop we could twirl ribbons round a pencil till they curled but I can't seem to do it with ordinary ones.

It's the same type of ribbon that's sold at Xmas time on a plastic reel.

I just pull it tight against the blade of the scissors, being very careful of course! There does seem to be a right side and a wrong side of the ribbon as one side will not curl.

while I remember if anyone has a
    Lidl supermarket near them.From
Monday they are selling a pack of
thirty 3 ply serviettes for 79p
they have a really nice teacup/
coffee cup design on them thought
they might be nice for the ones doing
the coffee cup themes and they look
like the kind you see in the expensive
    gift/kitchen shops.theres a selection
of different designs even ones with
    sushi on.

Rosekitten, I have a feeling you can separate the layers of serviettes and use for decoupage.

I feel a visit to Lidl coming on.
  • Wow! The flannel cakes in silicone moulds look great!

I posted the original bit about Morrisons new cupcake range as it was shown in a flyer I got in our free local newspaper, I`m from the North East so it may be regional. There was a pic showing and the range was called "fairy cake".

I think your probably right its a shame
because the picture in the leaflet is
not clear for me to get a clear enough
picture to put on here. But they look
    lovely.we were in a kitchen shop a
while back and this type of serviette
had a starting price of £2.75 for the
small ones going right up to nearly £5,
for the large ones, all in packs of 20.
All seem to be Lidl ones are quite
    querky modern designs
