  • I've used Ebuyer for components for a couple of years and never had a problem. However, I've read some horror stories on the net about them and how difficult it is to contact them when things go wrong. Personally, for a high value item like a PC or Laptop, i'd buy from Dell.

  • Bought a laptop from Ebuyer and not had any trouble. They use a totally web based customer support which can be frustrating at times but things always get resolved in the end.

I thought Dell's customer support went straight through to India these days? If i was buying a PC for support it would be from Mesh who with the dealings i have had with them over the years have been superb.

Hmmm, really? I wasn't aware that was the case although it seems everyone is jumping on the same wagon so I guess its likely. Dell sales were always useless but customer services used to be really good. Another one to strike off the list then!

  • do your research before choosing them. I bought with them without problem for ages, and they are great provided you have no issues.

if you have any problems, they are a real nightmare. Complete bunch of idiots man their phones, I think they closed down their call centre so that's a consolation to me, although it almost cost me my job trying to sort it out with them. Their eNotes system is w*nk. In the end barclaycard dealt with it for me.

Even if you pay for speedy delivery, they won't deliver it quickly then they make it near impossible to get your money back (ordered a memory card to go with a camera for my girlfriend's birthday which didn't get here in time, so had to buy it on the high street.)

In short, if you need something before Christmas, I wouldn't count on them to supply it. Pay a premium and buy elsewhere.

Very cheap BUT I am still waiting for an item from them, no response through enotes = esucks.
I will be reporting this to credit card co. as it seems to be the only way to get satisfaction when it goes wrong.

Bought my last two laptops from Ebuyer and also buy lots of other components. Always been reliable apart from once. I found the support pretty good in that instance when using the online system. Always depends who picks up your query, as with any business. Still, if you want certainty of supply then go into a local shop and pick it up. Buying anything anywhere these days seems like a gamble and you just have to hope nothing goes wrong ... so I would vote for Ebuyer and keep my fingers crossed.

Ebuyer are cheap, but there customer service is one of the worst I have ever come across. Enotes, from the customers point of view, is a system designed to allow ebuyer to sit on problems without reacting to them until they can be bothered. No telephone support is available at all. Ebuyer often send out the wrong item, or seconds.
I would not use them again.

I have used ebuyer many times (including twice for Xmas) and found them very good.
One of my deliveries was upgraded this time and sent more quickly.
I have had few problems but when I've had enquiries they have responded to enotes very quickly.
