Is it true that many dogs and cats will eat spiders? My Bichon puppy is so dopey that I doubt she'd have the get up and go to chase and kill a spider. How common is it for a pet to do so?

Yup, My three lads (Cats) will happily stalk then eat spiders.
Not such a fan when one of the Boys is sat there looking all cute n smug as hes eaten the spider, but i still can see some of its legs twitching and flailing between his teeth... grossPlease note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -

Yupp my dogs sit outside on there mats and keep dead still till a fly wizzes by and they go to grab them! Caught a few. Cats also love spiders and moths alsoTheres 2 types of horse owner, a person who owns a horse and a horsey person

My 2 cats must be the odd ones odd. They just ignore them. Or just take one look and carry on with the sleeping0

My cats have always preferred flies, which suits me but probably annoys the spiders.0

Our cocker can spot the huge house spiders a mile off. She is even better than the cat at spotting and then catching them.0

My old girl doesn't eat spiders although she has sniffed one up by accident!
She was following a smallish (huge in my mind) spider around the living room carpet sniffing at it when it suddenly disappeared I was panicing not a fan of spiders and like to keep my eye on them till catch them and throw them out but this little sucker had disappeared into thin air or so I thought. A couple of mins later dog was sniffing then sneezed and spider reappeared in front of her and promptly ran away! URGHHHHHHHH live spider up her nose!
BTW it was a cream carpet so def not that I just hadn't seen still on carpet.;):o:rolleyes:;):o:o:cool:
