I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB
Is your avatar smaller that this that you are trying to use?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

If you have it saved on your computer, right click - properties and it should tell you the size there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

you can open the image with a standard windows utility such as "paint" - this is normally found by pressing - start - accessories - paint.
Then open the image by going - file - open.
Then select image - strech/skew. Change the vertical and horizontal settings to say 50% on both (always keep these figures the same).
Then check in - file - attributes. It needs to be less than 80 x 80. If higher just keep reducing the percentages down bit by bit, remembering to keep them the same though.
File save and close when done.
Should now work fine.0 -

Even if you post a URL to the image, what happens is vBulletin (the forum software) simply goes to that URL and "collects" the image then brings it back to this website and stores it in the database so even if it is a bigger file size than 19.5KB and you upload it to an image hosting site it will still be rejected.
Basically, vBulletin doesn't support hotlinking of avatars.0
