Cheap(er) Sky?

Hi,

Mine had just finished as well and called over xmas and said i was going to cancel, looking for a discount but to my horror they just cancelled it. I called back and said if there were any deals and they said at this moment this is none and if you ask to cancel they will do just that.
Maybe in a couple of months things will change (well i hope so)

hi yes it does work again and again i had it for 6 months half price and then cancelled and was swicthed off for 2 months and then they phone up and offered me another 3 months at half price that 3 months turn into 16 months half price so in total i have now had sky half price for 22 months in total but im sad to say i will now be swicthed off at the end of the month.

Ive just finished another 3 month half price offer & when I phoned on Monday they didn't offer me anything they just cancelled my account(well it will cancel in 30 days) (

Trevor is right here. When you cancel they will look at how long you've subscribed versus how much cash they've gleamed from you during that time. The higher that figure, the better the deal.

Thus, If you've just finished one deal, don't expect to get another straight away, but do expect to get a good deal if you've been a longer term subscriber without incentives.

When the 30 days is nearly up they may well ring you in an attempt to reduce their churn rates to the freeview/cable platforms, but if you miss that and your contract ends then expect to pay full price again.

i called up to cancel and it went through in august, just before the cancel date i got a call from sky offering me 6 months half price, i took it. Anyway called up last month to cancel again, went through. Last week they called asking why I was canceling I said that it was too expensive then they just put the phone down so I guess they are not doing any deals. The contract ended yesterday but sky is still working though

I plan to resubscribe in my girlfriends name sell my old box on ebay and put it towards the subscription cost. I believe the reciver on the dish is also worth something on ebay so might sell that as well. Just have to wait for them to offer a new deal to new customers now.

12 months time I'll cancel and do the same again...
