• I have received a ticket from this company. I parked after 6.30pm and thought that it would be ok the park on the site at this time.

So as it was my over site, can I fight/appeal this £60 rising to £100 invoice?

I have read the guide but it says appeal if it is unfair, and whilst £60 is ridiculous, I didn't take the time to look for and read signage.

Is there anyway I can still get out of it, and whilst I know that ignoring it isn't advised, I know many of them are not chased up.

Also I don't think there have been any errors in the letter or details - although they don't know who was driving.

    Any advise is greatly received.

Show us the NTK with your name/address, PCN and VRN covered.

To show a link to a photo on tinypic or where-ever you host it, cover your name & address and the PCN/VRN numbers and then show us the URL: BROKEN, i.e. change http to hxxp.

I have uploaded any comments on that?
    What else should I do?

As we said, the 'important note' final paragraph tells you they reckon they can hold the keeper liable but they cannot. That misleads you as keeper but you MUST NOT mention who was driving. NOTHING about what happened, no rant.

My advice is already in #14, #16 and #18.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Here is response from DVLA:

Thank you for your email regarding this matter.

DVLA is aware of this process being followed by VCS. DVLA has been advised that these “notices” should not be considered as a “notice to driver” but are meant to serve as an indicator that a breach of parking has occurred and a notice will be issued in the post. In circumstances where a “notice to driver” has not been affixed to the vehicle, the company may make a request to obtain the vehicle keeper details immediately to allow a “notice to keeper” to be issued by post.

DVLA has raised some concerns with this process with both the IPC and DCLG directly and is currently awaiting a response. Therefore I cannot provide any further information at this time.

I can only advise that if you feel the notice was issued unfairly, you should use the appeals process in place to challenge this or raise your concerns with the IPC directly.

And the entire thing will be swept under the carpet. I utterly DETEST the fact that the DVLA re so weak that they admitted to someone else ''the IPC told us this is not a NTD'. I'm sorry?! The IPC - run by Hurley & Davies who also run Gladstones solicitors and represent the notorious parking firms - told the Govt office at the DVLA that it's not a NTD so the DVLA swallowed that and said 'carry on'!

Of course it is a poxy NTD (it's left on the windscreen for the driver to find and it tells the about a parking charge and directs them where to look online to appeal!). This is clearly a cooked-up cynical attempt to make people rush to declare the driver and/or pay up in a rush, whilst allowing the PPC not to have to wait 28 days to also get the keeper's data and put pressure straight on that party too.

This is not what Schedule 4 intended, but Schedule 4 was/is a hotch-potch mess anyway.

Advice still the same as before; NEVER say who was driving.

All this "it's not a NtD" rubbish.

If it quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck, craps like a duck... well... it's a duck.
  • I am about to go through the same appeal as above - can you update on what happened? I am just trying to appeal online and not sure which box to tick.

Please read post 18 and then start your own thread if you need further help.

Please also thoroughly read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES on how to appeal.
