Hi all
My son has just got a brand new HP Laptop (15-ac107na) for Christmas and we have just turned it on to set it up for him and there is no cursor showing?
I have tried a hard reset (removing the battery and holding the power switch for 15-30 seconds) but that did nothing.
Any ideas please?
TIA

Is there a light on on the trackpad? If so double-tap that.0

No there is no light on the mouse pad, I am not sure whether it is the mouse pad or the cursor as it is brand new and there was no cursor showing when powered on. I haven't got a wired mouse to try it out.0

Hi,
hit the Windows key, then use the up/down right/left keys, go into control panel and mouse settings or device manager, might get sorted there.0 -
Because it is new, it won't actually let me do anything because it's not set up. I can get as far as setting the time/language by using the enter key. My mum seemed to recall she had the same problem a while ago with her new laptop and when she took it back, the man in PC world hit a couple of buttons (her words, although she thinks one of them was an "F" button) and it was fixed.0

umm , try putting a mouse in it and rebooting , as the machine has not been started it has not found the driver for the onboard mouse yet , and it hopefully will when you have gone thru the setup and windows is runningSave a Rachael
