Sorry, I said "Plead guilty by post" but what I actually meant was to respond to the Section 172 Notice by naming the driver.
I can't see any advantage to him not responding to the Section 172 Notice if he knew all along that he was the driver and he was going to plead guilty at court.
I do agree with you that it would be unwise for him to plead guilty to speeding by post and not guilty to the charge of failing to provide information in case they proceeded with both.What will your verse be?
