A question please, what would other people do in my situation - I had a Tesco Finest trouting this afternoon?
Yesterday I managed to get some 1p items - not a normal event, only done this twice before and this was years back.
Today I wanted to get the vegetable nuggets for 70p and COS and OH wanted something so I thought I would see if I could get more of the 1p items.
OH got his shopping and went off to the normal till.
No veggie nuggets  but I got five of the 1p items and went through SS. I was swift scanning but the SSS who was chatting to the basket till girl still managed to spot it. Stopped me in mid flow as I was putting coins in the box. Took items off me, called the general TSS over who went to look and remove the others from the shelf. The SSS, a very unpleasant person, told me that there must be something wrong with the items that they were recalled - an untruth, still in date. I was then taken to CC to have the 5p refunded - no comment was made en route or by the person at CS.
So do I just build a bridge and get over it or do I send an email or put a facebook private message.
This is not an easy store but the younger staff are fine, even so I've not been a frequent visitor recently as Mr T does not love me anymore, no points in the mailings and rubbish MOCs and no till spits so I have no incentive to go there apart from the usual look around the reduced cabinets. So my profile is quite low - my only worry is safe guarding my points total
I'd probably let that one go.
As you were spotted when you were putting the money in then I'm guessing the transaction wasn't fully completed?
Either way, for a few quid, I don't think it would be worthwhile to raise your profile there. The SSS and CS assistant are likely to forget about the whole situation; an email to Tosco HQ would filter down to the store and would remind the staff members.
Also, by writing to Tosco, it'll mean that the store is less likely to have 1p items in the future. e.g. manager training staff members to be more alert, SELs changed properly etc.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

There are some very nice transatlantic cruises on Cunard ships - either sail there and fly back or via serversa and some good late deals.
The one I liked the look of consisted of sail to NY, train trip to see Niagara Falls with 2 nights in hotel, back to NY 2 nights in hotel in New York and then flight back to the UK :T“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I was going to include Carrots (1kg) and Savoy Cabbage mix and match. 3 for £1.50 in M. Also Swede there but believed to be non-comp. from A. But, having problem, as A carrots packs are outside the weight range, would therefore go to Tvs M in 3s, but Aldi are at 39p for their carrots packs according to msm? Savoy Cabbage - why bother with 3x for £1.50 when Tenderheart/Sweetheart cabbage at straight 49p?
Apparently Onions and Parsnips packs too according to msm - my M store did not have those marked with the mix and match price, so go by msm and best of luck having any success!
Also Ripen at Home advocados in M's other mix and match (3 for £2, do not get confused), with the Potatoes, according to msm. Again, my M store just had 99p on the advocados, so no way to tell. Advocados Tvs M? But... wait, wait, wait, as this has only gone on in M today (if indeed it has as relying on ever-dependable msm). Cantaloupe Melon and Yellow Plums? Mix and match price is quite expensive for those IMO though. So best of luck trying msm again (and not for a number of days).
Maybe just wait till M have another F&V voucher again. I do know the offer on the other potatoes - just 1.5kg packs - earlier now seems way expensive, had to settle for that at the time of the vouchers, but I now feel shortchanged by the tune of 3 kilograms:eek:!:rotfl:0 -
Someone was asking if the 3 for £5 Sanex still works?
Dermo repair is £3.99 but £2 in S according to MSL.
Not as good a return but £4.40 APG for 2 plus trigger?
Ignore me - double protect trigger not showing instore as being in the offer.

As far as I'm concerned, if you've paid for them, they're yours.
So the fact that they then forced you to give them back is terrible. I think anything before you've paid you just have to suck up and accept. But you are surely within your rights to keep items you've paid for, whatever the price?
If I were you I'd write a polite email to head office/customer services but I'm sure there are plenty who wouldn't for the sake of keeping their profiles low. I'm gobby so I wouldn't care as muchDebt free 6th December 2014

Do they smell nice?
No idea, my house smells of the reeds at the moment...:rotfl:
I've had the cinnamon one at Xmas that was nice, trick is to put it where it's not going off every 5 seconds with the passing of a car or change of light, I had mine on the window sill but it went off all the time:)0 -
