Evening all, hoping someone can suggest a recipe as I have 3 peaches, a couple of apricots and 3 or 4 nectarines all about to go off so I need to use them up. I'm still not a fan of just eating them, so any recipe which could use them up would be appreciated! I did wonder about just sticking them all in a pot and making a weird sort of jam, but I don't want to waste them.

Stick them in the oven and smother with brown sugar serve with a big dollop of craime fraiche

I had 4 punnets of 5p peaches & some frozen rasps past their best. I melted the rasps, added a couple spoons raspberry jam, a little water and a couple spoons sugar in a frying pan. As this gently heated I halved the peaches to remove stones then gently poached them until firm but soft. Turned the heat off & cooled in the syrup. When cool, remove the skin. I have had this over the last few days with natural yoghurt & it is so yummy.

Thanks, sounds nice! Pity I've only got about 3 of each fruit, so I can't do any recipe that involves big quantities. I need to get my thinking cap on!

Meant to say earlier, one of my bottles of Cravendale went off half way through, so sent a complaint in.

Today I received 6 coupons for 2 litre bottles :D

Pleased you got the bargain too VT. :T

I won't worry about covering flag. Don't think I will be able to wait to give this present until Christmas. :rotfl:

She will be 7 months when they come camping this year do you reckon I will get away with pushing her around in it. Or will I be mad Nanny. :o

They come with a foot plate for the bottom so they don't fall out. Says handle for parent to push but think they mean hand bit at top.
Yes, go for it. You want to get as much use as possible and probably better for nannys house if dd1 has no garden.
    Have fun

    Thanks to OP,

We won a whole one at one of the Ideal Home Shows we went to, kept us supplied for several months and we still didn't get sick of it, it is a bit like Edam but with a bit more flavour, and ever so slightly nutty :D

Sounds like a recipe for a fruit tart to me, I would take a large baked pastry case, line it with crème patissiere, then slice up the fruit and put on top, then glaze with a jelly. Or you could do a massive cheesecake and use them as part of the filling :D
