Eating our way through lots of fruit. Had last minute guests at the weekend which also helped. Water melon was really nice and the cherries were good.

The cherries that were £4.99 a box were delicious :T:T made hubby a cherry crumble when i came in from work:D:D

fairclaire, is your son back from his trip, did he get back on time ????

Yes he is back. He was half an hour early  which has the same effect on him as being half an hour late. He's had a good moan about it!
He had a good time and managed to spend the £10 spending money he was allowed on a blinking teddy bear dressed as a pilot :D I wouldn't mind, but I took 2 bin bags full of soft toys to the tip last week because I couldn't give the bloomin things away! :rotfl::rotfl:
......yes £10 for a little teddy dressed in a PVC jacket and hat

It does make me  that so called souvenir shops charge so much, I am guessing it was that sort of shop he bought it from. I used to find it so difficult to explain to the girls when they were younger that after we had paid to take them somewhere that all we could afford from the shop was a pencil or rubber. :o

I'm glad DS2 had a good time and hope the early arrival back was not too much of a problem. Bless him. :A

Would you choose a million quid or a penny doubled every day for 30 days?

Most people would choose the million…its quick, its easy, they want it now. However, when you add penny doubled every day for 30 days, the total is 5.3 million quid. On day 17 you are still only at 650ish quid, so things aren’t looking to good. But …

not worked out the latter, but have you taken into account the million would start earning interest from day 1.

I would not have guessed it would have been that much, so scrap the interest. lol
