Would you choose a million quid or a penny doubled every day for 30 days?

Most people would choose the million…its quick, its easy, they want it now. However, when you add penny doubled every day for 30 days, the total is 5.3 million quid. On day 17 you are still only at 650ish quid, so things aren’t looking to good. But …
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    Good morning :)

After your potatoes have flowered and the flowers have died off, they are ready.
I give my cucumbers tomato food. If you have plenty of flowers on your cucumber, take a small brush. A fine paint brush or even a make up brush and dust it lightly inside all the flowers. Some varieties need a little help with pollination. The plant has male and female flowers and if the haven't been pollinated naturally......by bees, insects etc, they sometimes need a little help HTH

ETA just saw your question about male and female flowers. The female flowers are large single flowers and if you look at the base of them, they will have what looks like a miniature cucumber below the flower. Male flowers are smaller and grow in little clusters

Thanks FC. I get tiny cucumber but they just drop off. Will try the paint brush trick & feed them tomato food. They are growing in my home made compost which I am unsure if they like as not growing very quick.

Decided to pop to T to use some coupons, alas no coke zero 1.25l and my sma coupon didn't scan :(. All not lost though, I found a 4p poster art and my £11ish shop dropped to £2.50ish after vouchers and a £1.45pp (which would have been about £2 more had there been any coke in stock). Did manage to grab a couple of bottles from the co-op as a consolation ;)

Eating our way through lots of fruit. Had last minute guests at the weekend which also helped. Water melon was really nice and the cherries were good.
