I use Adblock, so I don't see ANY sponsored ads.0

I see ads when I Google certain things but not 'PO check and send' so I'm not convinced that hpuse's screenshot in post #1239 is accurate.
No surprise there. :whistle:0 -

And your point is........?0 -
I would agree that the website in question is a "copycat" and should be closed down. Whilst they do say they are not affiliated with DVLA or GOV.UK, this is not especially clear and obvious - unlike most of the other sites we've been discussing in this thread - and the site is deliberately styled the same as the official site.
Have you reported it to the ASA etc. hpuse?0 -

Hpuse, I have said it before... you are far too easily distracted.
As you said yourself...Let's not divert...get back to topic of post#1.0 -

Wealdroam,
I am not sure what your point is?.
OP is all about copycats misleading and ripping off and most of my posts here focus on the same topic...(barring some pun on certain postings)
My post #1267 is also about a copycat that sprung up on 26-March-2014 that rip-offs customer making them £40 less off !!.
The website (taxdisc direct) is Identity protected and may be their proprietors are getting frustrated seeing all 'passport' keywords for google UK are being taken offline by google ad ranks.
The only keyword remaining for copycat-auctioneering is tax disc... As you know tax disc is soon going to be a thing of past - so these royal-copycat-losers are attempting to make hay while sun shines!!!0 -
Wealdroam,
I am not sure what your point is?
You cannot understand my point?
Let me explain...
The title of this thread is:Steps to take if you have been ripped-off by a copy-cat government website
Whilst I agree that yet another 'copycat website' is bad news, it has nothing to do with the subject matter of this thread.0 -

Which is what we've been saying all along! The problem is that people who get conned DON'T read what they're looking at!
And your OP still doesn't provide correct advice.0
