Just checked my Statement dated 15 December and it still includes all my cashback earned, cashback earned that month, and total cashback0 -
I have the aqua cashback card & was first alerted on this website that it was to be withdrawn. I still have not received the letter to this effect. Any suggestions as to what I should do come 22 january?0

Nothing apart from not expecting to make any purchases with the card after the 22nd. What I'm personally doing is paying for bills in advanced/items I know I'll use eventually with this card to get the cashback to £100 e.g clowncil tax is now paid until April. Ofcourse ensure you have the cash to pay the card in full when you do this!
If there's a zero balance when the cashback is credited then you'll recieve a cheque. When you get the cheque I don't know, it only says cashback will be credited to your account 2 weeks after the 22nd, not recieving the cheque.0 -
It would appear lots of us have chosen the ditch & switch option.
Got an email this morning. It says we can still send in the application for their 0.5% cashback card, but that it could take 3 business days from date of receipt to re-activate the card which otherwise will stop working from 22 January.0 -
I'm going to return the form once the £100 has been paid

Has anyone checked whether the cashback is rounded down to a multiple of £5 if you don't take the replacement card.
I know they do normally, but for me at least they carried over the remainder to my next earning year. Obviously they can't do that when they are closing it...
Just asked the question... yes they will round it down, so best to check how much you're owed and if just under a multiple of £5 spend the necessary in the next week to push it over the threshold.
Cheeky since this has not been mentioned in any of the closure literature - I suspect there will be a few unhappy people when that becomes apparent.0 -

1) Make sure you have alternative means of payment from 22nd.
2) Ideally afer your statement date and before 22nd run up a debit balance identical to your cashback balance. I am going to ask my local dive shop where know I will be spending to debit some money into my account with them. Alternatively you could fill up with an exact amount of fuel or buy an Amazon gift card.
OR
wait for cheque0
