also when i click on that link for santander, it takes me to the email page which has no mention of santander instead if reads 3% savings - now on up to £40,000 so that makes me scroll up and down a couple of times to realise that this was afterall the link for santander0

Can I pop up this suggestion? - (1 2 3 ... Last Page) linking in threads titles0

I can only think of two things and it might just be me having the problem (sorry, I am not very good at explaining so will use examples)...
1) Catching up: When reading updates on some threads, despite clicking the the wee box with the triangle at the side, I seem to miss posts. (example: the debt destruction thread is quite fast-paced and sometimes I can miss four or five posts despite clicking on that symbol or clicking the "go to last unread post" symbol).
I would like a more accurate catch-up thing basically. (sorry, I can never make sense when I want to).
2) When old threads "die" and new threads take their place... Is there any way that old threads can automatically be linked to new threads?? I keep reading threads where people have put brand new shiny diary (or something like that) then carried on as before but I have no idea about the old diary and can't find the it either. (hope this one makes more sense).
Is there any way that this could be done??
Hopefully someone will know what I mean and can explain it better.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
Savings: £0/£64000 -
the email make up is changing, it is good
but it isn't the space alone that makes the email less cluttered
format matters, have you seen japanese paintings (and their buildings, streets and billboards) - the beauty of their paintings (and their designs) rests in its format
there should be some harmony and that is missing in the email format
despite the new spacing, it still looks cluttered
the fonts/size should (imo only ofcourse) be the same or if there is any difference, should be kept minimal
you can see the difference in these two lines:i don't talk sense - any one can talk sense - i'm just wonderfully expressive. As far as opinion is concerned, passion is my forte. Oscar Wilde.
i don't talk sense - any one can talk sense - i'm just wonderfully expressive. As far as opinion is concerned, passion is my forte. Oscar Wilde.anyway back to my original point ^^^ the first one doesn't look cluttered whereas the italics and the bold and the different font in the second really is not appealing and i think that could explain why this "clutter" look isn't being resolved
and bring back the classic appearance - it needs titles and borders0 -
Could I make a suggestion that I think would benefit everyone, especially 'newbies'.
There are so many posts being made on old threads. Alot of people are caught out by this, and it's easy to see why. There is no date above the new thread title. Alot of other site forums do this so you know when the thread started, so you can choose as to whether you want to open that thread again, or stay away from it.
It's just a simple measure that would stop the confusion.

Hi Folks,
I am extremely excited to let you know after much discussion that work has begun on a brand new look and style for the MSE Forum due to be launched later this year.
Did I miss it?
Being serious, could someone at MSE perhaps let us know the latest position on this redesign.0 -
Hi!
Probably kosher but I thought I'd check... I just got a PM from MSE Zorica re. changing my password?
I would have just done it using the link but it's dated as being sent on the first of January 1970?
Cheers,

I have had a pm about changing passwords, dated today.
"Hi there,
As part of our Forum Redesign, we want to make sure forum users passwords are as strong as possible and our techies have asked us to get in touch to make yours more secure.
If you could you give us a hand by changing your password to something stronger when you next log in we would be very grateful.
To change your password go to your Edit Password page.
To make it stronger use a combination of upper and lowercase characters, numbers and letters.
Thanks in advance for your help

Most bizarre. The PM suggested I change my PW to a mix of letters, numbers and symbols - which it already is!.................
