If it is a rule everyone needs to follow it, perhaps it helps with searching for listed comps? or helps in catching it to go into game over?

Plus if it's not a rule I'm dropping the word Win from my competitions I post as it will save me no end of time & other posters too

I'm impressed you even noticed it - more than I ever would. Suggest, try it the way you're saying if it's easier. If there's any prob you can pretty much guarantee someone will say

I don't think this is a biggy or worth worrying about to be honest. the only reason 'Win' appears in my comps is because I copy and paste the title from the competition web site.

I notice them when I link them to daily/weekly threads

When I see a BG online I will ask them to let us know

tbh I don't really know LO,
think when the comps forum on here first started up it did help with searching comps/Game Over comps/ Comps we found on the web etc & we all followed VG's guide in them days,
things have changed over the years on here with longer titles/sometimes more info needed in titles/etc & if you can't fit it all in on the title it makes it a bit time consuming faffing about trying to :eek:
hopefully VG will clarify for us all

The titles are getting bigger fsure...Ive now taken to putting some of the title in the top line of the body of the OP, this is the first part that is visible when some one hovers their mouse over the title on the comp boards.
