So no chance MSE's new server has ended up on an email blacklist that some email providers are blocking? If Ian is certain the messages are being sent?

I'd instant-notification subscribed to this thread and been out looking at other threads since the last reply you made, still no emails... I have my own domain name and control the emails fully - no spam filters in place and I receive all emails to it. I didn't receive anything :(

Really not sure what's going on, but I don't think it's down to ISP's/email providers spam filters or anything - I think it's something with the server itself since the weekend shift-around. Even if emails claim they are being "sent" from the server, the sendmail program (or whatever is running) on the server might be failing to actually "pass it along to the internets". The fact some emails go out but not all would point to some bottleneck - a full file/the "outgoing" mail file having a filesize limit on it/some new server-side anti-send-email-spam threshold somewhere, who knows... That's all worded in horrible laymen's terms, but hopefully Ian will know what I mean by that!

I think as standard vBulletin uses the default php mail() function to send notifications? No sendmail or SMTP server (though you can set that up if required)? But MSE may have a somewhat custom setup compared to the default for this type of forum.

It is weird though that simply switching from gmail to yahoo fixes it for me.

As I've said elsewhere, I seem to be getting updates on some of my subscriptions, but not all. And I am not getting an email when I am sent a PM, which I should be set up for.

Anyway, I'll look forward to some more testing tomorrow ...

I've got a gmail address, btw.

PM notifications working here for my yahoo email. Not on a test account with gmail.

Oddly enough, had a few old notifications come through on gmail overnight as well, that were obviously delayed from before I switch over to yahoo.

Hi there, I'm posting on behalf of cornishpasty1, they are now not able to post on the forum, receive pm's, notifications, etc, the only thing they can do is view and thank posts. This has been since changing their email address yesterday due to not being able to get the subscription emails.

Is there a fix for this please? Many thanks.

I have just had a stash of about 30 delivered to my inbox in the last hour. Obviously all the old ones from the last few days.

Strange thing is some were coming through OK and then yesterday they seemed to have stopped.
