    Xmas Saver!
    hi all,

I have just joined redspottedhanky to get free £5 but i am a little confused as i tried testing train prices out for when we go to london using the free friends and family card i have applied for, but when i add the family and friends card it dosn't seem to take the price down only maybe by about £3 but thats all.

    anyone advise please :o

i tested it out on trainline and it seems to take loads off original price
have now given up smoking since feb 13th 2014 loving the money I'm saving

Actual costings would help for someone to check but bear in mind that there are often small differnces in prices between different ticket sellers.

What is wrong with Red Spotted Hanky? I got the Tesco vouchers OK but it seems impossible to register/create new account with Red Spotted Hanky.....When you click 'Register' it just stays on the registration page, and doesn't go anywhere.

Anybody been able to register successfully since lunchtime today Wed 15 May??

EDIT: OK, worked it out. The registration page won't work with Internet Explorer 10. The document is IE8.

If IE10, press F12, it brings up a menu, click on "Browser Mode", change it to IE8, and it registers ok.

    EDIT2:

wouldn't log into account either, unless browser set to IE8 mode!

I hope that their booking system is not as useless.....

I travel from Herts To London "All zones" using friends & Family and the discount is exactly the same as on the Greater Anglia site.

Remember when you choose Friends & Family on RSH, you have to select Quantity 1 from the drop down menu.

I just got the MSE email (dated 17:13 15/5/2013)

Went straight to Tesco perks as directed.

It added the vouchers and then immediately said they'd been removed and the offer was no longer available.

Don't forget if you are on a longish journey and especially if you have to change trains, split the journey into two and you will often save pounds.

    e.g.

Bought a ticket for my sister travelling from Doncaster to Stanstead Airport. Change trains at Peterborugh and cost was less than half by buying two singles. This generally applies to advance purchase.
