    Can you find a source for the refund promise - ie if the website that hosted the quote has an email from the promoter or the management for Bonn Jovi, etc? Getting a name will make some difference if it is attributable to the management company or promoter as opposed to some random guy, or the venue, for instance.

    Is there a secondary market on seat wave yet? Might be an alternative option.

    I am currently in an argument with a venue over something (which I wont mention on here)

    But....

    there is a loss of enjoyment claim you are entitled to get your money back as the lead guitarist wont perform on the night.

    I would respectfully suggest that that is totally different to your assertion that "you are entitled to get your money back as the lead guitarist wont perform on the night".

    Forth line down states you may be able to claim for loss of enjoyment. If you were a fan of the lead guitarist and he was the main reason for going....so I stand by my comment

    But how can you submit such a claim without going. It could be that it is even better with the replacement.

    Understudies are a fact of life when it comes to live entertainment. We went to see We Will Rock You at The Dominion in London last month. An understudy played Scaramouch ... if anything the show was probably better - she was a Glaswegian lass who used her normal accent, which probably made her lines more effective. :)

    Thank you all for the responses.

    I haven't yet responded to Seetickets and have sent a message to AEGLive via Facebook, who I believe are the promoters - if anyone has an e-mail address I could use that would be fantastic?

    I have also contacted the customer services associated with the Bon Jovi website and await a reply.

    I have no doubt that Phil X will be a good replacement, however this is the first time that we have gone to see Bon Jovi and my partner is a huge fan of Richie. In all honesty this was the main reason we were going. Plus we paid £230 for golden circle tickets so would like to see Richie performing too.

    I will wait to hear further from the promoters/website and thanks again for all of your help.

Your purchase of Tickets is subject to our right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control and in such circumstances we shall not be obligated to refund Ticket monies or exchange your Tickets. Once purchased, Tickets and/or Hospitality Packages cannot be exchanged, refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled (see details below) or, in the case of concerts (but not festivals) subject to a material change after an order is placed (a “material change” shall mean a change of headline act).

    Due to a personal matter, Richie Sambora will not be performing on the European and South African leg of the tour. All shows will go on as scheduled.

    Have you got a screenshot of them offering refunds?

    One news report mentions bonjovi.com mentioning a refund but the rest just say 'fans aren't happy and posts asking for refunds are being deleted'
