Gave a load of Pyrex away today as I accumulated a few more 3Vs :D and CODs :D

    I think today was a 5000 CC pointer :beer::beer::beer:

There is a lot of chat on paidtoshop about only getting 2 cods eg 1 xbox and 1 ps3 per account.I take it your getting a few more.

    Evening all.
I did a car boot sale today and we 'met' someone who lurks on this list who recognised my stash of S&G deos for sale and the fillers(flumps, white mice etc) I was giving away.
She is a friend of Martin and I just wanted to say hello again, it was lovely to meet you. Please be brave and post here!!

Beautiful weather we are having(said in a Yoda voice!!)

Hi All (Especially Tiny Shoes and Marrbett),

I will confess that I was the lurker that Tiny Shoes has voiced before and Marrbett today, but not anymore! :)

I must say a very big thank you to Tiny Shoes that introduced me to this exciting world! I have loved learning this new lanuage, collecting bargains, reading and getting to know everyone.

Yes it was nice to meet you Marrbett and it was so kind you were giving away your sweet fillers to the children.

    [2.47pm today]

This is from a shop done in Asda 3 hours ago: -v- T

I can confirm that you are paying 2 for 2.50 for the butter, but the APG thinks you've paid full price:

    4 x Lurpak Slightly Salted Butter (250g) £6.40 £5.60
    [...]

Thanks - I've put the glitch items onto my Avs T list (at the top).

But -, I'm not so sure this is good value.
Do I have this right? You pay 2 for £2.50 instore, but then APG compares full price £3.20 (for 2) vs 2x T's £1.40 price (being £2.80)?
So you pay £2.50 and get a refund of 40p (the difference 320-280) plus 28p (10% cheaper). £2.50 minus just 68p = £1.82 for 2, divided by 2 = 91p each. 91p, but these are for small 250g packs. I'd rather have the 500g ICBINB for 85p each (even with no 10% cheaper on S vs T)!

Additionally, anyone outside N. Ireland, this should be on a W comp. according to MSM and not vs T. W have it at 2 for £2.50, rather than T's 2x£1.40 being £2.80. (Which means - vs W - 95p APG. Off £2.50 is £1.55 divided by 2 = 77.5p each. Better, but still for 250g packs, still beaten by ICBINB and, even more, by A Sunflower Spread 500g A vs M's 75p.) Okay, you're buying butter not spread. I'm sure there are better prices on butter to be had though. Of course, I'm not looking at butter but looking at money-saving.:(

(It may be argued butter is healthier - but I'm not too fond of the "slightly salted". Apart from the salt issue, I don't like the salt taste in my butter.)

There looks several Lurpak 250s on MSM.co.uk missing their A multibuy.

It's possibly also the same on the Nestle Cones glitch. Really you don't need the Nestle Cones. If you just bought the one non-trigger item, it'd still compare full price vs the rival. Let's suppose the non-trigger is one of those other ice creams/lollies at £2 each. Getting it with the Nestle Cones however, in effect you pay £1 for the extra Nestle Cone pack. But then you get the same APG back (full price on the other item vs the rival). It's the same APG amount with or without the Nestle Cones. It allows you to get a Nestle Cones pack for £1.00. But gives the same amount of APG as you'd have got without it. (And of course the Nestle Cones aren't counting as one of your 8.) I've done it a number of times myself - my family really go for those cones! And £1 is a good price on them. But: are we really sure this is worth it? An encouragement to spend £1 that we don't really need to perhaps? On nice, luxury items, such as ice creams, that aren't truly "essential"!

[Taking the Lurpak off again now: it should be Avs W, except for N.I. Is the W pricing not coming back correctly?]

I didn't see the thread on there until last night, but I am not getting any. I am one of the unfortunate few who had a LOT of points removed during the last round of pre-order games with 500 points. They were all bought fair and square, and the first I knew they had been removed was when I logged into my account and saw a great big minus figure.

Caused a lot of problems, and there was a lot of people in the same boat. I did eventually get refunded the cash for all the £5's I had paid out, but it put me waaaaaaay over the radar at my local store.

Just a warning really, that clubcard can and do remove points with no notice. :o
