    Thanks for this.

I was in York for a few days this week and got a call from DS to say the kitchen was full of them. I told him to put talcum powder down to stop them moving...when hubs and I got back the house was polluted with talc as everybody walked it all over the house. I found it quite funny as I could just imagine the panic. lol x
  • BREAKING: Speed Boat Crash Leaves Two Dead
    Posted 7:33pm 5th May 2013.

Two people have died and more have serious injuries after a speedboat crash on the Camel estuary.
It is thought the boat with six people onboard flipped over.
Eyewitnesses say the out-of-control craft then ran into some of the passengers.
It happened at just before four o'clock on Sunday afternoon, near Padstow harbour.
A big rescue operation was launched with coastguard teams from Polzeath and St Merryn, police, RNLI and helicopters from RNAS Culdrose and RMB Chivenor taking part.
Jo Rawlings from Falmouth Coastguard said: "It was reported to us that the boat was out of control and had struck a number of those that were in the water.
"The RNLI lifeboats from Rock and Padstow were sent to the scene.
"It was fairly busy. It is a popular destination and, with the weather being quite pleasant, it was a busy destination.
"We do not know whether it was commercial or a private speedboat."
At around 7pm on Sunday evening the ambulance service said that two of the passengers had died. More have been airlifted to hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
It is reported that some people onboard the speedboat were children and some of the passengers were members of the same family.
Part of the normally bustling Padstow harbour has been cordoned off by police.
One of the people who dialled 999 to report what had happened described it as "distressing" saying her thoughts were with all those involved.
Visit Cornwall, the official tourist body for the Duchy, said: "Our thoughts are with the injured and bereaved involved in the tragic speed boat accident at Padstow harbour this afternoon."

Anyone in Bolton and surrounding areas please look out for this beagle :(
  • From what I could see, they got rescued by Thunder, which is a local speed boat, part of a fleet that takes paying passengers out for thrills. It was calm as a mill pool so I cannot believe it was Thunder that flipped (their team is highly experienced) plus it would not really be likely they would use a flipped boat to rescue those in the water.

Big hats off to Thunder, then http://www.padstowboattrips.com/page2.htm
