It depends on the retailer - some are pretty quick ... that one was from November but others take ages :( I had to chase my mobile one up after 6 months

    Ohhhhhhh I know!:D

I have [STRIKE]wasted [/STRIKE]spent hours the past few days ....... look at this http://www.abowlfulloflemons.net/2011/02/how-i-organize-with-totes.html *sigh*

However, my binder's come on leaps & bounds since I did my daily sheet the other day (now binned :o and replaced by something much better;)) ......

    It's addictive!

  • Right ..... have decided the walking boots are unfortunately going back.

I know what I'm like and if they don't fit properly, I won't wear them (as they really won't help the gammy foot) and they'll end up sitting in the downstairs cloakroom not being used......

I'll keep an eye out for some in that style tho' - hopefully I'll eventually be able to get somewhere where I can try them on in advance!

However .... this does mean I need to go to the PO to return them and pay the astronomical postage costs ..... grrrrr

  • Right .... really need to get my butt in gear and take poor Maisie for a walk (although she's flat out & snoring on the sofa atm :)) before it gets dark

Think it'll have to be another trip to the beach ..... getting a bit sick of having to drive that far TBH but can't think of anywhere closer where she's not going to get absolutely caked in mud - which then means at least 2 washes to do ..... :( roll on whenever it stops raining!:o

Have loads of pages to print out for the house management binder so will get onto that when I get back!:D

  • Sorry to hear the boots were no good. However as you say not very MSE if they sit unused in the cupboard.

Have a good walk :T We thankfully have somewhere close that is mud free but if we do go to the muddy field we also gather a lot of washing. The sun is shining here now though so hopefully it will travel to you soon.
  • Thanks alwaysposting we had a lovely walk & I did enjoy it when we got there:T ... it's just sometimes it would be nice not to have to go as far everyday! :o

We do go there fairly regularly but it's more a 1 or 2 per week walk than an everyday one!:)

I am lucky here are have enough walks to only have to do the same one a couple of times a week - usually - just most of them are mud baths just now:(

I did spy a sign for a public footpath I've not been down before on my way out the village so may give that a bash tomorrow - it looked like it went up the side of a farm (so may be muddy!) and may well go down & along the river .... will have to see as that's pretty high & wouldn't want her going in it

    Household management journal / folder

So ..... this is finally coming together :D

I have now split it into 2 :o

A small A5 sized one I can carry around with me- so I can get rid of the A7 diary (spending diary), A6 day to page notebook (to do list) A6 day to page diary (appointments) :T - they were pretty heavy!!

    It has:

    • 2013 wall planner - will mark hols etc on this
    • 2013 calendar (by month) - for appointments
    • Weekly planner - for to do lists & also has Weekly Menu Plan & Shopping list on the same page :)
    • Spending sheets - spending diary
I'm trialling doing this by month & plan to keep sheets for 3 months in here (and rest of year calendar pages)

    and

An A4 one which will stay in the house, it currently has:

    • 2013 wall planner
    • Birthday organiser
    • Weekly planner - notes?
    • Meal planning info - favourite recipes to help meal planning & general cooking info
    • Cleaning routines - not a lot in here yet ... never really done anything like this so not quite sure how / if I'm going to!
    • Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter checklists
    • Phone directory
    • Pet information
    • Project planner
    • Emergency info / plan (to do)
    • Completed diary sheets from A5 planner
