  • Rant warning ......

OMG it gets worse - I'm absolutely fizzing right now :mad::mad:

Phone's just gone & it's the girl from the scanning unit ...... who told me there was no way I could be fitted in with one of the other scanners today .....

"oh hi, it's xxx from the scanning unit" - I'm like, "hi, I'm just home" .... "ohhhhh, I've managed to find a scanner for you this afternoon" - I'm "oh, great, what time" ..... "2pm" errrrrr...... me "I don't know if you've looked to see where I live but it takes me nearly an hour & a 1/2 to get there" ..... "oh, well thought I'd ring and see if you could make it"

Anyway, as I've now "turned down" that appt - I go back on the waiting list  errrrr I don't beeping think so .... I said I could hang around for a bit when I was there and was told there was no way I'd get done today & to go home ....:mad::mad:

It's beeping 1:15 - how on earth do you think I'm going to be able to get all the way back there by beeping 2pm .....:mad::mad:

Flipping 'eck Rising... I wouldn't let it go at that if I were you - call them back later today or tomorrow and take it back up telling them to put you back on the short list. If not, ask to speak to their senior, going up and up ranks until the realise how stupid they have made the system work

  • Why is it whenever I try to sleep in the afternoon it just doesn't happen!

2 deliveries I've been waiting for arrived (great!:)) but I'd just dozed off when the 1st one arrived ..... just re-dozed off when the 2nd one arrived 1/2 an hour later ..... and just re-dozed off again when the phone went not long after that!

Have given up on the sleeping front!:rotfl:

Good news (I guess) with the CT scan - they can fit me in on Thursday :)..... typically at the same time as I'm supposed to go to a "thing" at work:eek: which my boss rang & invited me to the other day.

Was really looking forward to that as I've not seen my colleagues (I've got a really close team - even tho' I hate the actual work IYKWIM) for ages but obviously can't turn down the CT (or I will go back to the bottom of the list) .... so will have to phone my boss and cancel that tomorrow:(

Need to go in anyway at some point as have an new sick line to hand in:eek: b*llocks!

*sigh* as I've said before ..... why is nothing ever simple / straightforward!:o

  • Good news is that I'll be starting 2013 with reasonably healthy stocks of Pet stuff:)

There was a little bit left in this years' budgets (they have been reduced slightly for 2013!) and was running low on stuff so ......

Need to do a proper inventory - you know me and my lists!;) - but the only things I should need to get anytime soon are Dry Food No 2 for the cats (have been looking for this on offer but no luck yet - refuse to pay £5 / kg!) and Dry for Maisie in Jan sometime ......

Cat litter arrived today so that should last throughout Jan and also got some more of the wet that they both like to make that order to min delivery amount ;) and then Maisie's wet came ... with some of the other wet the cats like to make that order to min delivery too;);)

There's also some stuff in the cupboard that they won't eat - and that I've not managed to get rid of on the cat food swap / sell site (I have managed to shift a fair bit of it through here tho!:)) so I'll clear that out tomorrow to go to the rescue .... :T
