Paypal At It Again

  • I have noticed that you get the '24 hour review' note before you click submit. If you abort the withdrawal and start again you often see the 'in your bank in 2 hour's note and it will go straight through. I have done this a couple of times now and not had a 24 hour review. It must just be a random thing, not linked to amounts or IP address as others have thought.

Ok, here is the solution to the security message on withdrawl -:

    1) Log into PayPal
    2) Click "Withdraw to bank account"
    3) Input amount of funds you want to withdraw

Now, at this point, PayPal will say the funds will take 4 hours to hit your bank account.

    4) Click the Cancel button

PayPal will now say the withdrawl period is 24 hours.

    5) Click the Cancel button.

You are now back at PayPals main account screen.

    6) Click Withdraw and "transfer to bank".
    7) Input the funds you wish to withdraw, and click OK.

Those funds will be in your bank account quicker than you can log into that bank account to check!

    Have fun!
  • If only I'd read the advice before I clicked 'confirm' :P

Funny thing is, I haven't transferred from PayPal for a while so was expecting the usual 3 day wait, but now I've discovered it should go in more or less straight away now, the 24 hour wait is winding me up!

They don't earn interest on held money in the UK, and pay it to charity where it is earned in the US.
I think the funds are held in Luxembourg, a friend of mine was subject to a restraint order under the proceeds of crime act due to an investigation by trading standards - they froze everything apart from paypal as they didn't have the power to as the funds were not in the UK.
